I could not be happier with the finished results in powder room. It is beautiful! I am a bit concerned about durability having read info
about scratches from animal claws, grit, etc. The
beauty of the product is such I would love to
install throughout the house but until finish proves to be more durable than suggested would put
idea on "hold" and use Cork.

I also purchased cork for a bathroom. Although
color varied greatly from sample, the unique color and finish once the polyethylene applied gave the bathroom a zen appearance. This pattern would go well in offices and dens.HTV- the swirlie
brownish pattern was used in a den and it was
beautiful!

Comments about Schön Quick Clic Bamboo 9/16" x 7 1/2" Float Eng. Vert. Carbonized Bamboo:

there product initially bleached noticeably whiter in areas of full sun. For example, two weeks after installation, when a carpet was pulled back or moved, in a full sun area the part under the carpet was noticeably darker. As time went on fading was much more even. My guess is the "UV Coating" was on the sample pieces, and then the factory made the rest with a substandard uv coating.

Lumber Liquidators Response: As with any hardwood or bamboo product, heat and sun will darken the wood. This is a natural occurance and will richen the look of the floor.

These floors are beautiful!!! I have gotten nothing but compliments and absolutely love them. They do scratch pretty easily though. They've only been completely finished a few weeks now, and I am very happy to this point. I did notice that they seem to dent and scratch fairly easy. Definitely want to get some felt sliders for any furniture (even if its a flat bottom like on my tv stand- evidently it caught a piece of dirt and still scratched the floor!) or appliances. I mopped them with some of that orange stuff and man did they glow like a new penny!
Overall, extremely happy!!!
ps-> don't waste your money on the bamboo quarter round!

Comments about Schön Quick Clic Bamboo 9/16" x 7 1/2" Float Eng. Vert. Carbonized Bamboo:

We loved the look and the supposed durability. It was quite easy to install and looks very attractive. It scratches and dents like nobody's business (almost immediately as it is installed)... I have yet to find a way to protect it beyond the usual felt pads and stuff. It made me wonder why anyone would want it if it scratches so easily. And worst of all... noone has any suggestions or even very much experience with this type of floor to offer any recommendations.

Comments about Schön Quick Clic Bamboo 9/16" x 7 1/2" Float Eng. Vert. Carbonized Bamboo:

this bamboo is durable in terms of the finish- easy to remove ink, crayon, etc without damaging the surface. However, I would not recommend it for people with dogs. Scratches and gauges from dogs toenails appear easily. The nail down solid bamboo is much more pet friendly. Still, even considering the scratch factor, it is a better alternative than laminate.

Comments about Schön Quick Clic Bamboo 9/16" x 7 1/2" Float Eng. Vert. Carbonized Bamboo:

Product is good. Beware of long stretches - I think the mfr recommends max of 30 ft longitudinally but my experience is it should be shorter. The width of the individual sections connectors don't have enough gripping power to keep gaps from opening. Early on surface scratches will appear after a few months wear they appear to blend in.

Comments about Schön Quick Clic Bamboo 9/16" x 7 1/2" Float Eng. Vert. Carbonized Bamboo:

Product and directions are great. Plan on measuring and re-doing some parts, if this is your first time. 12" Mitre Saw and/or table saw strongly recommended - but you can do it with a circular saw. Tongue/Groove is excellent, and fits together easily.
