It looks real and nice because it is engineering wood. It is a bit more uneven color because it is not select grade but I manage to hide the knotty one near the wall.

This is apparently an OEM white box product (no brand name on the packaging). It is made in the USA and is engineered hard maple with the Valinge click lock and fold glueless install system. The planks are random length with micro-beveled edges. The fit and finish is excellent, with a good variety of hard maple grains and color tones, along with an occasional dark streak or knot for visual interest. Very few bad or defective boards, and they click together tightly without much effort. I've installed two rooms so far and it looks fantastic. I bought enough to replace all the carpet in my house (about 1200 square ft). I shopped carefully for glueless click type engineered hardwood flooring, and this was easily the best deal I found.
