The heartwood has creamy white color tones to light reddish brown, and sapwood is a pale creamy white. Because of Maple's unique characteristics and durability, it has been the flooring choice for high traffic spaces such as bowling alleys, basketball courts, dance floors, and schools just to name a few.Imagine how well it performs in kitchens, dining rooms, and kid's bedrooms!Maple will offer you great durability, beauty, and will get your neighbors talking. What is "Select Grade"?Select Grade has the most uniform color with no large knots and the longest average length of planks. I installed this beautiful finish on my entire first floor. The last Bedroom I installed myself and while time consuming, (for a casual DIY guy) it was easy.We love the contemporary look to the floor.

I've had this installed for about 2 years now. Good durability but pets will scratch it. Spilled liquids must be cleaned immediately or they will soak into the edges between planks and stain. Similarly, be careful if wet cleaning since dirty suds will do the same damage.

If you purchase the random length, make sure to start using the shorter pieces early. Otherwise you end up with a ton of short pieces toward the end. I bought the installation kit, which I ended up not needing. I'd have been better off getting knee pads! The floor looks nice.

Comments about Schön Quick Clic Engineered 7/16" x 4" Maple Engineered:

I just installed this floor last week... so the only reason I didn't give it five stars is because I can't rate the durability and scratch resistance yet. I was having the hardest time locking the pieces in place when I first started... but once I figured it out... actually once my father came over and figured it out... it was pretty easy. In the directions on this website... it says not to use a hammer on this flooring... but I found it much easier to use a soft rubber mallet to lock the pieces in place. The directions say to simply stand on the board... but maybe because of the uneveness of my sublfoor (tile) this wasn't enough. I didn't use the mallet to tap the tongue into the groove... I just used it to tap downward on top of the wood finish to lock the pieces together. It proved to be much easier... and there was no damage to the finish.

Pros:
None- No Pros

Difficult To Install, Finish Wears Easily, Prone To Warping

Comments about Schön Quick Clic Engineered 7/16" x 4" Maple Engineered:

I had this installed in my living room and two bedrooms. It is delaminating, warping and buckeling after only three weeks. Some of the boards are splitting and it is not wearing well. The oak finish is coming apart from the backing. I would not recommend this .[...]

Decided to use this for a paneled look in the kitchen to match the wood used on the cabinets. This is a great finishing touch with an added chair rail as well.
