Schön Engineered Quick Clic- 7/16" x 4" Select Red Oak Floating Engineered Flooring- 30 Year WarrantySchön Single Strip Quick Clic, an innovation in engineered floating floors! With a real wood wear layer, these single 1-strip planks give the look of traditional hardwood flooring.Quick Highlights:- Real Wood Layer- Single Strip- Easy Floating "Click-Together" installation- Backed by a 30 Year Warranty About Engineered Flooring:Hardwood veneer layers are stacked on one another, with the grain of the adjacent layers oriented perpendicular to each other.Because wood expands and contracts in the direction of the grain, one layer stabilizes the next, resulting in a product that is less susceptible to the effects of moisture & temperature change.Red Oak is America's most popular wood floor choice! It is the benchmark for strength serving as the industry standard of hardness with a Janka hardness rating or 1,290. Its reddish-brown color tones give rooms of any style - from rustic to contemporary - a warm and cozy feeling. Red Oak will retain its beauty through years of wear and is almost unaffected upon sunlight exposure. What is "Select" grade?Select Grade has the most uniform color with no large knots and the longest average length of planks. Also referred to as First Grade.DID YOU KNOW?An estimated 60-70 million Americans are affected by house dust, which can cause itchy eyes, sneezing, rashes, breathing difficulty and sinus trouble because of trapped pollens and molds in carpets, upholstery and curtains. Not even frequent vacuuming will eliminate those microscopic troublemakers. Easy to put down and very little scrap. After carefully putting the flooring down I am now getting gaps between the flooring that were not there when I installed it. Not happy with that.

Comments about Schön Quick Clic Engineered 7/16" x 4" Red Oak Engineered:

It was a challenge to get the first couse started. In shorter rooms this may not be an issue but with so many pieces and a wall length of approaching 20 feet it was tough to get the first several courses to settle in. After that it was pretty easy.

Comments about Schön Quick Clic Engineered 7/16" x 4" Red Oak Engineered:

I have installed a number of different types of flooring, I was hoping for a simple installation which was why I got this floating quick click however, I found it to be very difficult to click together. I installed 720 square feet the floor is beautiful I have several gaps because some of the boards would not lock into place properly I managed to get the job done working long hours over the course of a week. I hope the floor will be durable. I have a large 90 pound dog and so far I haven't noticed any scratches. Even though the instructions do not recommend you tap with wood blocks to install it is almost impossible to do without taping be careful though because the tabs break off easily. If I had it to do again I would have had it installed it's a pain. The price was good and the floor looks great I am glad the install is finally done. I am a do it yourselfer and have installed glue down wood floors, ceramic tile, as well as sticky tiles. I found the glue down type wood to be easier to install. The bottom line is the floor is very pretty however the install is not quick and easy. I recommend the floor just know the install is difficult.

I just put this in my family room. Be gentle with the material the oak is laminated to, it can chip off easily. Make sure there is no chips of material in the grooves. I had very little waste. The floor looks beautiful and is nice under foot. Not sure how it will wear because I just put it down.
