This floor looks great, it really darkens up in the sun light, watch out for sky lights or area rugs as the floor will darken where it gets light and remain constant covered! easy to install, I do agree with the others in that there should be more longer peices, I just got an extra box or two so I didnt have to use the short ones. I installed my dining and living room and had someone install my family room, 1000 sf' in all, I actually did a better job, its all about taking your time and really getting the seams good. My 50lb boxer scratches the floor when she gets really excited. The first time I freaked, after that I have chalked it up to more "floor character" the veneer is deep enought that its still all cherry and I plan to get this guy to come over who can just refresh the finish and not sand and refinish, might be a good option for all of us engineered floor people.

I installed about 750 s.f. of this product in my living room office, dining room and connecting halways. It was pretty easy to install after I got the hang of putting it down. First two rows were difficult as I couldn't use the air stapler and the room was 30 feet long. Definately have a helper and be sure to mix from two or three boxes at time for color and lenth variation. Overall product has a beautiful color and finish. I personally would prefer a little less gloss, but that is my personal preference. We have had this down for about 5 months now and floor is definately getting darker ( and prettier), especially in area of direct sunlight. Have not had nuch problem with scratches at all. Our beagle has not caused any yet. He is about 40lbs, but is old and not real active. We have 3 boys from 5-10 y.o and they have not scratche if yet either. Floor is easy to clean ( I got a bellawood kit from [...] and it is fast and easy to use). Only real drawback is that I was surprised that the longest planks were only 4 feet long and they ranged from 1 to 4 feet in 6 inch increments, however most boxes only had two or three lengths, but not all. I would have preffered longer planks, especially since I had a 30 room to cover. I would definately recommend this product and plan to install some more of this in another area of the house. Also I personally had very little waste ( about 2% or less). The cherry veneer is VERY VERY hard and could be difficult to cut at times , but I knew that going in.

This floor is beautiful. Unfortunately, it scratches easily when the dog gets excited and plays. Not good for dogs over 30 lbs.
Hard to keep clean with a crawling baby. The oil from his skin leaves residue on the floor.
