The installation went well except for the bostich staple gun would raise a little of the finished wood at the staple location. Tapping with a rubber mallet on a piece of scrap flooring would flatten out the raised piece.

Boards interlaced with each other very well with minimal about of tapping. Color was just right, not too dark or not too light. Very pleased in how the product turned out on my floor.

We installed 1,000 square feet of product in a home we purchased, removing carpet because of long haired dogs. We moved from a house with original Bruce oak hardwood, and this product is just as good, at half the price.

The finish on this product doesn't look like real wood even though it is. It's as though the wood grain was pressed out during the fabrication process.

Nice product
By KCVerified Reviewer from Charleston, SC on 4/14/2008
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

The wood looks beautiful, but I'll caution that it does come out a bit more red than the sample showed due to the variation in shades in the different wood panels. Also, I bought treads from my stairs and I was told a coat of Poly would make them match the stairs, but that was not the case. They had to be stained and coated to match. Regardless, it made a huge difference in the house- great product for the money!

Had a small problem finding a molding that would transition from the wood to an adjacent tile floor. Needed "baby threshold"type You didn't have it. Finally got a substitute thru [...] on special order. Our professional put it in. Funny, now that the carptet is gone and the wood is down, we're thinking about an area rug!! (You can't win!) A classical musician friend complains that the sound level in our living room has gone UP! (You can't win.)
