Comments about Schön Engineered 3/8" x 3-1/4" Brazillian Koa Engineered:
Eng. brazilian Koa turned out to be a great choice in our family room. we had to glue it down on tile, although it took some effort to find a pattern the floor looks so rich and diverse. The room is about 200 sq.ft., i still have bathroom and hallway. one advice is to find a pattern and cut everything prior to gluing. and be careful when you use the installation tools, put a thick towel under the corner tool to protect the plank finish while u hammer it.also don't leave too much space on the edges, they say 1/4" is enough, if u go more than the quarter end might not cover the gap so it will look ugly. also, the glue dries up quickly, so plan of finishing everything in 2 consecutive days. no matter what u do the glue dries. there was weird instructions on putting a plastic bag and laying the container upside down, well this way u waste a lot cause it gets messy on the plastic bag the next day. we did the project over 2 weeks (i had to level some areas which i didn't know about initially, its a good idea to check all these before hand) so every time we opened the glue box we find a thick dried skin that we needed to pierce to go in. so the next batch i'm planning to finish gluing in 1-2 days. thats why u need to decide pattern and cut everything before laying the planks, u reduce the amount of time having to think so u just glue. Regarding the pattern, they said you should have a minimum of 6" between sims, and smallest piece around 6" as well. we came up with a pattern that repeats every fifth row. we had three size planks in our random size boxes.[...]. It was our first experience in installing hardwood floors.

I installed the product three years ago in my sun room. The color has changed a bit darker but not as much as I expected. It has a rich and warm look that gets compliment all the time. The sun room is not well insulated but the floor has been very stable throughout the three cycles.
