There were several pieces that were warped. I was still able to use them as end pieces.

We had a professional install the wood floor. He thought the floor was poor quality and difficult to install. We are not happy with the finished result. The top layer easily scratches and chips. Also there were in my opinion several defective pieces in the boxes. The only thing that I like is the color. We just recently had it installed, so I'm unable to rate the wear, however I would guess that it will wear quickly.

Our floors turned out lovely. I can't believe how much of a difference that they made. The space seems so much larger. I particularly love the beauty of the wood grain. You just can't beat the price. Since the flooring was so inexpensive, I was afraid that it might turn out looking cheap. Nothing could be farther from the truth. It looks very nice. We replaced the carpet in our great room, formal dining room, foyer and hallway. We liked it so much that we decided to order more for our three bedrooms. If not for fear of potential water damage, we would have placed it in our kitchen and bathrooms as well! Check out our pictures.

Product is thin so floor must be level, clean, and sealed for best results. I installed this product in two homes that I lease. Very pleased with the reception it brings to prospective renters. I put a clearcoat on this floor in one of my houses and it helped in the ability to keep it clean.

Comments about Mayflower 5/16" x 3" Cocoa Oak Engineered Flooring:
This floor is just beautiful!! We installed it ourselves, which was a lot of hard work, but well worth it! Our house is on a slab so we glued it down. My advice to anyone is to be very careful with the glue. It is very messy, but try to not get much of it on the wood. If you do, wipe it off as soon as possible. Otherwise, you will spend hours scraping it off and possibly scratching your floor.
The guys that I did business with in Memphis, Tn were great!! They were very nice and so easy to work with!! I recommend their store/service to anyone. As far as delivery, I picked up the flooring myself and installed it myself. The product was in great condition. I did not have to use customer service.

Comments about Mayflower 5/16" x 3" Cocoa Oak Engineered Flooring:
I bought this product looking for a relatively inexpensive flooring option that would last at least 5-10 years. I didn't really expect too much out of the flooring for the price, [...]got it installed I was pleasantly surprised. We were going to glue the flooring, but after reading and hearing many horror stories about the glue I decided to go the stapler route. The hardest part about using a stapler was finding somewhere that had one. Since the engineered wood is thinner than regular hard-wood flooring it required a special pneumatic stapler. But I am glad we choose that route. There was no mess and no complaints. The only thing is I wish the wood would have been a little wider so it wouldn't have taken as long to install. I had never installed flooring before, much less picked up a tool period, but this stuff went together very easily and smoothly. I put this every where except for the bathrooms and laundry room as there was already tile in them. The floors have been in the house for approx. 6 months now and they look great. I still can't believe the difference it made. I knew any change from Shag Carpet would be a major upgrade, but we are still getting comments from friends and family on the floors who have been in the house multiple times already. I think the biggest surprise is that my beagle has still yet to scratch the floor even though we play on it every night! This is truly a great product at a great price!

nice finish. Looks like $4.00 sq.f. Use hand lotiond before applying bonding every other time, that way nothing will be sticking to your hands and easy comes off and jof will go smooth.
exelent.

We installed the floor with a nailer and some glue. (We also laid felt down before we laid the floor.) The sub-floor is plywood. For the price, you can't possibly beat this. It is awesome. It is a little thin, and if we were going to live here for another 30 years or so, we would have gone up to a higher grade, but we couldn't touch this price for this quality of hard wood floor.

The color is beautiful. The product was perfect. The color is actually different than the picture shown here.... you should see it before you purchase in the event you want something lighter. I saw it in the store, and loved it but it's even better installed!

It was a lot of work gluing it down to a slab floor- but worth it. I only wish I had other locations to use it or I would buy some more.

Once you get the hang of it, the installation is a breeze. I suggest setting up the first three rows without nailing them down, just to get the feel of the material and to make sure that you're square.

Best flooring I've ever owned. Our entire town of Bridge City TX was wiped out from the storm surge by hurricane Ike. We took over 4' of salt water on this flooring and it came through it fine and looking great. I couldn't believe it actually made it.

Comments about Mayflower 5/16" x 3" Cocoa Oak Engineered Flooring:
Easy to install on above-ground plywood based flooring. No glue necessary, used 1 1/4" brads w/pneumatic nailer. Used plastic underlayment for insulation. Fit is perfect side to side, and end to end. May last over 20 years with care and perhaps one refinishing, but for the price, is well worth the effort. Beautiful floor when complete. I did living room, den, hallway, and one bedroom. Seriously considering finishing two other bedrooms with same material. Go for it!

Comments about Mayflower 5/16" x 3" Cocoa Oak Engineered Flooring:
We installed these floors in my mother's house, and they look beautiful. For the price, they are an excellent value. Importantly, they are only 5/16 " thick, so she will probably only have one opportunity to refinish them, but I don't see that as being necesseary. They seem to wear well, and look much more expensive than what they cost. Considering that my mother does not live in an updated home, it did not make sense to invest in high-quality floors. These fit the bill perfectly. They will certainly last, and look beautiful. The only downside is that they need to be glued down which, let me tell you, is a huge mess! Be prepared for a big clean up job, on the floors and yourself!
