Floor was easy to put down. The installer used knee pads that have left marks all over the floor.Various cleaners and even mineral spirits have not taken them off. Even a bare footprint wouldn't come up and the linen rag used left fine scratches.

Great flooring. My installer commented that there were very few irregular boards.

Comments about Virginia Mill Works 1/2" x 5" Scotchtown Plank Handscraped:
I installed this floor in our living room by gluing to our concrete slab. The final product looks great and fits perfectly in our adobe home. So far, the floor seems durable, but any scratches/dents will easily blend in with distressed marks (just fill in with stain). One word of caution: the glue-down method was VERY messy and probably the most difficult flooring I've ever installed (compared to tile, floating wood and concrete overlay). Nail down if you have the option to do so. Overall, this is a great floor which we'll eventually put down in other rooms.

We are first time engineered/hardwood floor installers. We found this product easy to install with a pneumatic staple gun. The tongue-and-grooves fit together beautifully - only two warped boards out of 36 boxes. We installed the wood in our entire main floor and it is gorgeous! We love the black antique accents (makes it easy to patch our few installation errors, too.) Quite durable - two dogs and kids with cleats in and out. The downside it that it does show dog hair and dirt! Needs to be swept OFTEN to keep it looking beautiful.

Our 1886 Home was flooded with 3 ft of water when Hurricane Ike blew through our neighborhood. The newly installed tile floors buckled and cracked. We never liked the tile so we opted for Wood. Not only did the Scotch plank match the hue of the 100yr old floors but with a nice transition piece between rooms the antiqued look blended nicely with the rest of the house. So much so we installed it in two more closets and a bathroom.

I did glue down method. The floor looks awesome, but we have not moved in yet. So I cannot speak on the durability.

Perfect for our lifestyle and situation. This handscaped floor with wormholes gives us a beautifull floor with the very natural, slightly less formal look that we wanted.

We had it floated, but we think it should be glue.

We bought a home and did a major remodel. We aded 650 sq. feet of this wood in our entryway, formal living room and dining room. We had a party last week and the comments about the wood were nice to hear! Looks great...the distressed look makes it feel real warm. It's on the dark side, so you have to stay on top of the dust that collects. We have three kids and a dog and so far, so good in regards to durability/scratching. HIGHLY recommend this wood. The cost was very reasonable too!! Lumber Liquidators even took back the extra box we didn't use with no hassle.

We had a hard time finding a nailer to use for installation. Ended up using a stapler.

We installed this in our family room and adjacent Media room. The change from tile to wood floor has been so dramatic. It feels like a different home. The wood finish is so warm and the antique marks add so much charm. The marks will come in handy when the floor does get nicked up over time because they will just blend in. Which brings me to one word of caution, although this is my first experience with a real wood floor, it is prone to dents. I dropped my belt and it left a little dent. The nice thing is that I added some stain and voila it looks like one of the original antique marks. All in all, I would still purchase this product again. It has completely transformed our rooms to new heights of elegance without being too formal.

This floor looks beautiful in our home. We love the rich dark color, and the black lines in the floor add to the beauty. We have a home in the country and this fits perfectly with our style. We built a floor to ceiling fireplace out of Austin limestone, this looks awesome next to this hardwood flooring.
