Install is pretty simple. First time I did any laminate flooring, so I was happy that it turned out so well. Did learn a few things after I started, that I would do, but it was too late. First, rip out all of your baseboards, then lay your floor, and install new updated baseboards and not have to use quarter round. It just looks like it came with the home and not added. You will need a table saw and miter saw, and an extra blade or two. I used a circular saw at first, but those long rip cuts turn out so much better with a table saw. A skill saw is handy for intricate cuts, but by good blades! I found that a multi-tool is great for trimming around the doors (like this one-| [...] Item# 00923465000 | Model# 2702). Figuring out how to install it on my stairs is the next project, not every home is made the same way so it is hard for anyone to include instructions for all.We love it, you will need to dust it atleast once a week and depending on your household use the cleaner maybe twice a month, but it sure looks good! I would not recommend any wood or laminate in the kitchen or bath, we left the ceramic tile and with the reducer it is easy.

This flooring was installed in my living room. It looks great, easy to clean, but it does show every footprint, pawprint, etc. So it requires frequent wipes with the dust mop. Other than that, it's fine.

Embassy Mahogany Laminate is great durable product. We initial remodeled only one section of our house, but it turned out to be so great that we came back again to buy more and remodel rest of the rooms. The color is also perfect, not to light not to dark.

The product is fairly consistent and only 5 or 6 boards out of 1000 sq.ft. had serious defects. The finish is very attractive, but dark rich color does show dust and dirt more readily. Installation went smoothly, and I recommend working out a staggered seam pattern that is consistent even if a bit more material is wasted.

The only down side to the product is that while it does resist scuffs and regular scratches well, it did not hold up to any items that fell on it. Hard items like table wear or (heaven forbid!) small hand tools, will easily shatter the surface and leave a deeper gauge that you might think.

I would recommend a product that is a bit more resistant to impact. Natural wood does better in that way.

The floor is HARD to install. Get a pro to do it. The floor is HARD to clean. Comes with a haze from factory. Per LL hotline clean with dish soap. This helped haze but floor still shows prints and smudges that don't go away. Used BONA cleaner and it worked great. But high gloss shows EVERYTHING. Go for a floor that is NOT high gloss if you have kids and pets

I installed this product in my den over concrete with 6 mil polysheet as a vapor barrier. It has a very nice finish that adds warmth to the room. Overall, it was easy to install; however, I did have some difficulty because of defective tongues on the longest boards, which were replaced free of charge. I would recommend this product even for first-time floorers such as I was.

My husband and I (50+ years old)installed this flooring over the course of two full weekends. We did our living room and dining room, a total of approximately 400 feet of flooring. There is a small learning curve if you've never done this type of work before (we hadn't). I have the brains and he has the brawn, I measured - he cut, we both installed, so it worked out beautifully! I love the fact that this comes already cut in 3 sizes so we could stagger the seams easily. Everyone thinks this is real wood and it takes a bit of convincing that it's not. I have other nationally known brand name laminate flooring in my bedrooms and this flooring blows them away. Don't get 8 or 10mm flooring, you will definitely notice the difference in quality and it's not worth the few dollars you save. The v-groove edging gives it that real wood look. I have so much less dusting to do with this flooring than with the carpeting we replaced. But definitely put the felt pads on everything that touches the floor, you don't want to take any chances on scratching. We moved our furniture around and slid it across the floor several times without scratching. So far, so good ... and I love the compliments we are getting!

Just had this laminate installed professionally recently. Removed all the carpet from my condo and had this laminate installed in every room except kitchen and bathrooms. The Embassy Mahogany color is beautiful and looks fantastic. Shines beautifully. Feels durable as traditional hardwood floors.

This was the second floor we installed. It was very difficult to get the first row started. The planks shift and slide easily,one of us had to stand on the other end to keep the planks already in place from sliding. In the end we noticed small gaps between a handful of planks. Time will tell if these planks warp from cleaning the floor.
The floor looks great if you are constantly cleaning them... dirt and footprints show up easily, shoes are now left by the front door.

I cannot find any cons about this flooring. It was extremely easy to install. The finish is absolutely gorgeous! The pictures do not do it justice. The sales associate at the store was helpful and this floor was in stock. We installed this floor in a 20X24 room in one weekend! Actually, only about 16 hours of work. I recommend this floor to anyone who wants to add a rich, classy look to a room.

This is a wonderful floor . I had carpet in my livingroom which I hated ..with grandchildren it was impossible to keep clean and a pain to pull out the carpet cleaner twice a month. Although the laminate shows dust all you have to do is wipe the dirt away. I just love this floor. It looks like real hardwood.

The fisished product looks great other than it always has a streaky finish (not a big deal at my house). My home is a heavy traffic area with 2 dogs, 3 kids, and a husband who works outside so that may be why it is always streaky. The floor is NOT easy to install. Do not be fooled because it looks like it would be very easy. My brother in law who is a carpenter and has laid laminate many times had one heck of a time laying this floor. But, it is super thick, strong and does take abuse fairly well. The chips we have are along the plank grooves. We bought a wood grain marker to cover the chips and it worked great. For the price, the laminate can not be beat and it does look nice. Just believe me when I say it is NOT easy to install.

At first, I was apprehensive about purchasing laminate flooring because I did not want it to look cheap. It took many trips back and forth to the store [...] It is was installed in 3 bedrooms by very expert/professional Lumber Liquidator installer in just one day. Has a rich, elegant, subtle color and looks just like real wood flooring shown at stores. Does show dust but shines like new when using the Lumber Liquidator laminate cleaner. No more sinus infections for me from dirty carpeting. Why did I wait so long.

We used contractor friend to completely tear out kitchen and flooring. He installed flooring in one day. Don't forget trim pieces also. It looks great, is easy to clean with dry swifter and/or slightly damp microfiber cloth. We purchased BONAIRE laminate floor cleaner that we use occassionaly to clean entire floor - it works great with this flooring.
Our cabinets are a dark checrry and the floor contrasts (is lighter) with it nicely.

We installed this flooring into 2 rooms and will be installing it in the hallway as well. It's beautiful flooring. I love that each piece is a board like real hardwood flooring. It's easy to install as long as you can measure and use a saw. Just make sure you measure correctly for the amount you need, it is non refundable!!

This is a very nice product, laminates have certainly gone a long way and they look really good these days.

I bought around 1500 sqf to replace all the old carpet in the house we just bought, so far I have installed around 1100 sqf or so basically living room, dining room, office and 2 bedrooms.

I rated installation as both a pro and a con, it's certainly not difficult to install, but is not quite as easy as click it and forget it. You need to use the tapping block all the time to get the pieces to interlock properly and you need to feel comfortable with measuring and cutting wood, if you are then it's not a big deal. As an example, I installed the living room (over 200 sqf) completely on my own in 5 hours on a Saturday.

The floor looks wonderful once installed, we really like it, we've only had it down for around a month, so can't comment on durability; but one thing I can confirm (which was mentioned by others) is that it shows dust quite easily, so expect to mop frequently.

I installed about 400 square feet of flooring on the first floor of my townhouse. I have had it down for about 3 months now and have almost nothing but good things to say. First off the people at my local lumber liquidators were great and were there for me a few times when problems arose during installation. I had absolutely no experience installing flooring but it was fairly easy and i think the end result was amazing. I was a little worried about putting it down in my kitchen because some reviewers complained about warping, but after many spills and dropped items it has held up great. Also i have an 80 pound dog and his nails do not scratch the floor. It's actually pretty hard to scratch if you're smart about moving furniture and such. The only problem with the floor is keeping it clean. Since it's a high gloss finish when lights shine on it shows EVERY imperfection. I highly recommend buying a steam mop if you want to try and keep the floors shiny. So basically if you're a perfectionist this is probably not the floor for you. However, i love it and would recommend it to most people.

This floor really has made a huge difference in our home. It really has fooled many thinking that it was actual engineered flooring. Installation was a breeze as soon as we discovered that you want to tap the row into the previous and then step on it to snap it in place. We have had problem with water at the seams of on board but it was warm water which might have made the difference. I highly recommend this product.

This floor is BEAUTIFUL! I have it in my entrance hall, my half-bath, kitchen and my diningroom... I have been living with it for 3 months, with my 96 pound puppy and two cats! I clean it with a mild white vinegar and water solution, it drys looking like it did when it came out of the box! We purchased this product during a big sale. We were very attracted to its thickness, high gloss, and attached padding. We were skeptical b/c we envisioned a darker color but our budget would not allow it. We painted the room the entire week and waited for our own installer to come on Saturday. When I returned I was so shocked to see how beautiful the floors were. It turned a drab room into a luxurious fab room overnight! I would recommend this floor to anyone. The color looks better than expected. The only downside is that it does hold prints which is annoying. So I'm looking for runners for my high traffic areas.

Simple click and lock worked, with a side tap to make snug the line joint.
WARNING: Do not over tap, you will damage the edge.(ruined about 10 pieces figuring this out)

We debated doing our kitchen after buying the laminate for it. But decided to go ahead and figured if it didn't hold up, it would be easy to tile later.

We sealed each tung groove in the kitchen with carpenters glue and then the edge strip with silicone to waterproof.(a pro's recommendation) This will still allow for expansion)

700 sq ft took two long days with a friends help.

We hired a pro to finish the trim and do our two stair risers which was worth the small price he charged and looked great.

Our tile guy, who did our garden room, loved this product. Said it was the best he'd seen, swore it looked like wood, and couldn't believe the LL price.

Gave it a #4 only because it mars abit and is hard to clean the smudges that appear easily.

I purchased this floor after being disappointed about not being able to use hard wood floors. I have been surprised at how beautiful the floor looks. I have recieved numerous comments about the floor. It took a full day to install and it was challenging with the end pieces but this is my first home project. After several weeks of reading these reviews, and other reviews of laminate flooring, I am extremely pleased that I finally chose these. I installed the Embassy Mahogany in my dining room and foyer in about 14 total hours (3 hours on friday evening and 11 hours Saturday). I am a 42 year old women (with no prior floor installation experience) and I must say this was a physical challenge (my whole body aches), but not a difficult project. The first three rows of installation are frustrating and tricky. NOTE: The boards do not simply click together (to the row in front of them), when fitted by hand, but they click perfectly when tapped with a tapping block and rubber mallet. After I figured that out, everything went smoothly. It helped a lot to have my daughters stand on the first two rows, to keep them from shifting, as I installed the third and fourth rows. I highly recommend the St. James 12mm Embassy Mahogany Laminate. It is gorgeous and definitely looks like hardwood. I've only had them installed for 24 hrs, so I cant comment on the durability yet. However, my medium sized dogs have run through the dining room several times, today, and there are no signs of a single scratch. Kudos to my area LL; they were extremely friendly and helpful. I plan to install these in my living in the very near future.

The only problem I had with this floor is I glued the joints in areas where there's a possibilty of standing water. Well my wife some how chiped one of the planks and I had to take up three quarters of the floor. The problem I ran into was the areas where I glued the joints. I had to destroy some planks to get to the one that was chiped.

Over all still a great product so far!

Beautiful finish! Looks great installed! Had the professional that my local store recommended come and install it and it looks great. However, if you are moving furniture make sure you put it on a towel or a furniture slider since we got a permanent scuff from sliding the bed. Rubber shoes will also scuff the floor, but that can be removed with the cleaner.

I installed over a concrete slab with vapor barrier. Friends and family are impressed with the look and feel. I removed all of my baseboards for easier installation and they got destroyed as I removed anyway (account for this cost in your budget). Lesson learned when installing, install left to right as you are looking at the floor installing. I have a room 20 x 20 and it took me 8 hours to prep the room (remove old carpet, nail tacks, baseboards and door trim. I removed the trim around the doors as I was planning to repaint it and would need to trim the bottoms anyway. The next day I worked by myself to move the 19 boxes into the cleaned out room that I prepared with the vapor barrier. I installed the first three runs incorrectly and kept getting gaps in the boards. It is important to install left to right. I realized my mistake and started over. Be very careful when pulling the gaps (width) together. I used a wood block and rubber mallet to close the gaps. I got carrier away moving so fast that I damaged some corners. Take you time. Inspect every board at different angles. I found 20-30 boards with finger prints in the finish or scratches in the boards. I set those aside and used them for the end of the row which usually need to be cut. I ended up with only 5 boards left so definitely go with their recommended calculation. I was worried I was going to be one board short. The installation took me from 10 AM until 10 PM with the last row to still be ripped. My wife is in love with it so far. You do see finger and hand prints, but with kids where don't you see these things. Price was extremely low [$] so I hope it holds up as you normally get what you pay for. We are going to let the kids try to beat it up for a few more months to see if this is a good idea to install in the rest of first floor. FYI - The boxes are extremely heavy and long so it was awkward for the average person so use caution that you do not hurt yourself. My legs hurt for two weeks after installing from all of the bending.

Great looking product...realy is...but if you do not immediately...IMMEDIATELY!!!...clean up ANY liquid it will have small unrepairable water damage. 5 minutes equals moisture damage, bubbling,warping etc. DO NOT PUT THIS PRODUCT NEAR WATER SOURCES!!!Learn from my families mistake. We have it in our Kitchen and near a bathroom, small water damage in both places and we have had the floors less than a year!

I installed the product in the family room. It was very easy to install. I love the fact that while being a laminate, it looks and feels like real wood. I love the fact I chose a 12mm laminate. When you walk on it you DO NOT get that clicking sound you usually get from a plastic thinner laminate. The only tools used were skill saw, miter box (hand saw), speed square, and coping saw (hand). No need to rent/buy a mitre saw. I did the entire 600sf myself. It did take about 2 weeks but the savings from paying for soemone to install is well worth it.

We installed this in our living area
(1000 Sq ft.) and after 1 year the finish started to bubble. I called Lumber Liqu. and they said they cannot help me with that - they plainly said that this may have happened because of improper maintenance and or installation

I used vapor barrier under the floor and the floor never got wet ever.

I read all the reviews, did I get the same floor? Don't get me wrong, I like the floor. However, has anyone tried this: put your full hand down on it, what does it leave behind? The whole hand print! Tried it with numerous persons. Now try to rub it off, takes lots of elbow grease. Had kids over, there were dozens of hand prints and smudges everywhere! Spent a fortune on laminate cleaners. All left a haze that you had to BUFF off! In the end, best cleaner was a spray bottle with plain old water. Everything scratches it, not deep scratches, but more like an abrasions that may or may not come off. I use a microfiber mop to clean. But, at the certain light and angle you easily see the dust and scratches. All this hassle and I live by myself with no pets and am hardly here. Still, it looks very nice and was very easy to install by my installer and great price. Trying to contact the manufacturer is next to impossible. Most people that have seen it seem indifferent to it, I have not got a single praise.

I found these reviews so helpful when picking our lamintate so now that ours is in I thought I would write one. We debating the St. James African Mahogany and the Embassy Mahogany and went with the Embassy. We thought the African Mahogany would look too orane and we are very happy with our decision. I can't speak for the installation because we paid someone to put it in as we had lots of cuts to be made, but it is gorgeous. Looks like real wood to me. Our floor is pretty uneven in the basement and went in just fine. We have found it creaks a little, but it seems to be getting better as time goes on.

One big note to learn from our mistake. We bought all the special shoe moulding that goes with it and it looked aweful! Very fake! We had our contractor paint over it with white paint and now it looks great. I would not buy the matching shoe moulding.

My 15 year old son and I installed this product in 4 bedrooms and hallway(approx 800sq ft) installation was very easy. Flooring was installed over concrete slab using vapor barrier. After serching for all different floors types for weeks, we decided on this. We put in 750 sq ft. We have had this floor for one year now-waited to write a review to see how it holds up. WE LOVE IT. We have 3 dogs over 40lbs, the floor still looks great. A few minor sratches after one year, but much less than our friends with real wood. Be careful with water though- the dog bowl spilled and warped the floor a little, but now we have a mat down and problem solved. Once cleaned with vinegar and water looks like the day we installed it. I would use and recommend this product again.

My husband is NOT a home do-it-yourselfer. Consequently, he hired our neighbor's brother (who had just finished installing a similar engineered floor in his sister's entire main floor.

The mahogany laminate we purchased was laid in our 650 sq. ft. downstairs "man-room". It was installed over concrete with a vapor barrier between the concrete and padded laminate.

Our installer said compared to his sister's floor, this was extremely easy to install, was twice as thick and ours looked like real wood. He also commented that when compared to our floor, hers -- at half the cost -- was not a bargain!

This room gets loads of traffic -- from my husband and his friends to three large breed dogs, one small dog and two cats. No scratches or dents and it is unbelievably easy to clean. So much so that my husband has taken over the cleaning job!

After looking at all the wood laminate available in our area, we feel we made the right choice.

We put this great looking laminate in our newly remodeled kitchen and dining area, and will continue by completing the entire downstairs of the house, except for tiling the bathrooms. It is absolutely gorgeous. Goes together easily , and the different lenghts minimize waste.

Even though I am only a DIY'er, I have had experience with about 6 or 7 brands of laminate. This has by far the nicest gloss finish of all of them. Every other laminate I have used is dull in finish. Even if it has a wood pattern, it never looks as good as wood. This does, as you can see in the pictures. The 12mm thickness is also nice and makes the floor feel solid like wood. Foam backer attached is great. For the price I don't think you can beat this stuff. The only reason that I rated it 4-stars is that I think the connecting design could be tighter. It goes together easily on install, but you have to make sure to keep things ligned up well when you click them in. With the more expensive dupont laminate, the locking design will actually pull the pieces together to make the seams tight. This stuff fits a little more loosely, so you have to use the rubber mallet in both directions to get things as tight as you would like them to be. Not a huge deal, but noticeable. If you are a first timer of laminate, this makes it easier to install because there is less fiddling to get them in place. All in all I am happy with the finished product. The finish seems as durable as other laminates, but the gloss makes it look so much better. My 110lb dog doesn't seem to be damaging the floor when he runs across it, so I am happy so far. I have 500sq.ft. more of this to install, so we'll see how it holds up for sure.

I bought this flooring to finish out a basement. I like the look of real hardwood floors, but being below grade, my options were limited to engineered flooring or laminate. This flooring was thick (12mm) compared to other laminates and at a great price. I was initially concerned that it may be too dark for a windowless basement, but was pleasantly surprised after install - the high gloss and red hues did not significantly darken the room. The underlayment foam is good quality and a nice added bonus as it eliminates the additional step of having to lay the underlayment separately. I would consider myself an avid do-it-yourselfer (I built the basement from the ground up, including framing, electrical, drywall, etc.) but I would not consider the install to be difficult. It was straightforward and relatively easy, no glue or nails were necessary. A miter saw and jig saw were the only tools I needed for the flooring install. My only complaint would be with the stair nose trim - the height of the stair nosing will not align flush with the floor (if the top of the stair riser is flush with the floor it will be off by ~6mm). This wasn't that big of a deal as I installed the stair risers after I laid the flooring and made up this offset by raising the stair riser the appropriate height; but I can see how it could be a pain if the stair risers were already installed prior to flooring. To this point, the floor has withstood any wear and tear extremely well and I have yet to see and scratches (I have two dogs and it didn't take long to start seeing scratches in the wood flooring throughout the rest of the house). I would definitely recommend this flooring to anyone considering a nice, inexpensive, alternative to real hardwood flooring.

I had a different brand of laminate prior to this flooring. It was not as durable or as attractive as this product. It looks like real wood floors. The foam attached on the bottom helps in the noise reduction. I have 3 big dogs and it has withstood their test. I highly recommend it to anyone.

Having had wood floors in our previous home I was apprehensive about the laminate. Let me just say...the picture on this webpage doesn't give it justice. The floors are beautiful and easy to install to boot. It certainly helped having them come in three different sizes. We did encounter an occassional chip but was able to use them as end pieces. We started in the livingroom and will be using them in the rest of our home.

This is a great thick flooring that is quite easy to install, and it looks fantastic next to our travertine stone kitchen and foyer. You can't tell that it's not wood but hopefully it should not be as easy to scratch as the hardwood I previously had.

This floor looks amazing. We replaced carpet in our living room and vinyl in the dining room/kitchen with this floor, almost 600 sq. ft. We had never installed flooring before but are handy and it still took nearly 5 full days to install. We had numerous obstacles,(bay window, cabinets, fireplace, etc...), but we managed. For nice cuts, we used a combination of a compound miter saw and a jigsaw. The three sizes of pre-cut lengths made it much easier to stagger the pattern without much planning. We will b buying more to do our den/library and another color when we finish our basement family room. FOR CLEANING, USE A SWIFFER FOLLOWED BY THE SHARK STEAM MOP, EASIEST AND FASTEST WAY.

What we liked are the deep, rich finish color, the 10 mm thickness, the underlayment padding and very good price. The local outlet of Lumber Liquidators happen to have it on sale for [$]. Great buy!I never do floor before but with the labor cost almost twice the material cost, I decided to do it myself. After spending sometimes research, study, asking questions on DIY forums, I am ready to tackle this job. It took me 2 bedrooms to master all the skill and nuances of going around the door, the closet. So far I have done 2 bedrooms, master bedroom, den/library. It's getting easier as I progress. Compare to other laminate floors offered by other companies (from what I read), this product is easier to install. Tools are very important. For cutting, a table saw and a jig saw are most essential. I don't buy the installation kit from Lumber Liquidators so I don't know how good it is, but I got both installation kits from [...], one kit from Pergo, one kit is generic. We recently installed due to water damage in living room, dining room and family room. We had no confidence, nor tools, to install ourselves and had it professionally installed by installer provided from Lumber Liquidators store at a very reasonable price. Overall, we are very pleased with its appearance and consider it a huge upgrade over wall-to-wall carpet it replaced. It is remarkable how close it looks to real wood floors (we think you would have to be a true expert to immediately notice the difference), and are especially pleased with the richness and warmth it adds to the rooms in which it was installed. We are looking forward to seeing how it holds up – so far there has been no scratching after 3 weeks by either of our medium sized dogs. So far this product has either met or exceeded our expectations in all areas.

We did about 600 square feet (dining and living room area)and had several closets and doors to work around. It took five days (about 6 hours per day) for one person to install. With two people you could make it a two day project. After the job was done - I was completely satisfied - looks GREAT. Scott at the Dayton store was very helpful on this project. I would recommend this to friend and recommend Lumber Liquidators to other people who I know.

This flooring is great, very easy to work with given the thickness. The v grove gives the floor a real wood look that we wanted. High gloss finish is great, but it does show paw prints. Instalation of 1300 sq feet took us about three weekends, would have taken longer but this is the third time I've installed laminate flooring. Everyone has commented that this floor is beatiful and looks like the real thing. I have already recommeded this floor to just about everyone who has asked me about it. Looking forward to many years of care free enjoyment from this flooring.

We love the look of the floors. It was pretty easy to install...it does take time to do right but still easy. The only hang up is that the stair nose and transition pieces don't come close to matching the floor. Also, you have to stain the stair treads and hope that it comes close to the floor color. Other than the two above I would highly recommend this floor. Everyone who has seen it thinks that it's real wood. I recommend Lumber Liquidators gets the flooring manufacturer and the trim manufacturer on the same page.

We recently purchased our first home and this was our first project. We installed over 1,000 sq ft of this flooring in our bedroom, hallway, living room, and dining room. The floors look really nice. Installation was doable, but doorways proved to be a challenge. We got better as we learned from our mistakes but it did take a few weekends and after work hours for several weeks to finish it. Granted we did install a LOT of it. Also, a good 15 hours was invested into ripping up carpet and wood/foam that had been glued down to our cement slab.

I used this product on a 3,800 s.f. dining hall for my masonic lodge. Installed using volunteer (novice) labor and it went together fine. The integrated pad is very helpful. Everyone (including early naysayers) are very impressed with the final product.

The padding is thicker than most reducing the noise. I love the reddish color and the size of the planks. It is easy to install. The only thing I don't like is the very glossy finish because it shows fingerprints and dog slobber easily. It's easy to clean, but spots are noticeable.

I have only had my floor done a few days, so I don't know about wear or durability, but so far, I LOVE it! It has a beautiful finish, was easy to install, and I did it by myself, because my husband had to go to work!

So far, I haven't found any cons, other than it is a learning process getting the first few planks in.

It is not loud when you walk on it, and it feels good under foot.

Installed this in a lower level of a raised ranch home. Never instaled laminate or wood before, only ceramic tile. Once you get the first and second row down, it goes faster. I had a new fine tooth blade on my Miter Saw, and it worked great. We got to the end of one wall, the long way and used a circular and jig saw and it worked great as well. Think about how you will transition to another surface IE tile carpet etc. Trimmed the room out with bright white molding includind a shoe base, and a yellow wall paint. Looks great! Ready for the next room.....

This flooring was very easy to cut, install and the planks were easy to stagger. Two caveats, make sure your first row is straight to the wall and that the spacers are securely in place. Next, don't pound on the laminate bar too hard (to get the ends to mesh for example) because the corners can flare up just a bit.

This wasn't our first choice of color but after installing it I am SO GLAD we went with it! My husband and I installed this floor ourselves. We installed it in our living room and office. I had it installed professionally and it is just gorgeous far prettier than the sample. It is very rich looking and has fooled everybody. it has none of the problems of wood. I live in San Antonio where it is hot and humid and I did not want to risk having wood or the maintenance problems of wood. I love these floors. They are in all bedrooms and office. I have tile everywhere else. Easy to clean. Just get a big mop with a disposable washable mop head and off you go. It also vacuums well. Fooled the builder when he came to work on a warranty issue. One week after we installed this product in our home a toilet in our hallway malfunctioned and dumped about 250 to 300 gallons of water in our house.We liked the floors so much we had our insurance pay to have them reinstalled and replaced in our hallway.I would not recommend these floors for a bathroom,but we did put them in our kitchen,hallway,and greatroom...nice product...everyone that comes over thinks they are real hardwoods and is so impressed with the natural looking finish...we are very happy with the change from carpet!

My 2 brothers and I installed the embassy mahogany in my living, dining room and primary hallway. The living/dining area took about 8 hrs total and the hallway took an additional half a day (more cutting). The finish is absolutely gorgeous...very rich looking. The picture here does not do the gloss finish justice. Most people cannot believe its laminate. I'm thinking of putting it in my master bedroom also...highly recommend.
Only thing I have not figured out is how to keep
it from smearing...still experimenting with
different cleaning products...definitely not a deterrent though.

We had no experience with floor installations prior to tackling this project. We started with our dining room, which we use as a sitting room. We are middle age and I must say that it was physically very demanding for us, but the product was fairly easy to install and had we done this 10 years ago it would have been a breeze. The finish is absolutely beautiful. It looks like hardwood. Our friends and family can not believe that this is a laminate floor. We are very pleased. We will try to install it in our great room eary next year.
