I absolutely fell in love with this floor when I saw it in the showroom. It is rich, like chocolate, has an amazing look to it. I have very dark brown, wood furniture and was hesitant to use something with such a red coloring, but wow....I have more compliments on my floors than any other part of my home...we used it only in the bedroom, which sticks out from the rest of the tiled house. When people walk in, they usually are speechless. I even had a friend steal some scrap for placing around her house to see how it would look! The price is definitely right and the installation was a breeze. We installed this, which was very thick and some 6mm at our former rental home....this was so much easier and fit perfectly. We had one piece out of the 15 boxes that had a bad piece and we used it in the final row....great, great laminate....I cannot say enough about it....best purchase I have made for my home!

Nice thick flooring, great finish, easy installation,,,I give this stuff an A+

This flooring snaps together nicely once you get the hang of it. I found that a ruler out of a broken combination square worked great (turned long way, and gently tap the plank in). Then also once you think the plank is in all the way, work your ruler all the way down it taping it gently, and you will end up snapping it in more.

The flooring has been down for 2 weeks now and so far we have dumped a vase of water on it (cleaned up fast), and dropped a skill saw on a plank when installing (a 2 ft fall), the saw landed on the blade and never left a scratch,,,,I WAS AMAZED!!!!

OK, NOW THE CONS!!!!

the only thing I can complain about is that the pattern were packed together in a box. Each box seemed to have 1/4 to 1/3 of the same pattern. You will need to open about 4-5 boxes and set them all out to see all the different patterns, that way you have repeating designs. The good thing is this flooring has like 10 or 12 different patterns.

I bought an extra couple boxes to have spares and keep around just incase we need to replace some from damage.

I purchased these floors to replace exisitng laminates; however the 12mm does make a difference in visual and feel. The dark color makes the space look rich, the only drawback was that after installing floors, I hads to repaint the rooom; since the floors overshadowed the walls.

The floor went down easy and we loved it at first. However, after having them for a while now I hate them! Keeping them clean is a nightmare. They show every spec of dirt and dog hair. They show every footprint and paw print. If you have a lot of sunlight in your home you might want to think about choosing something else because you will drive yourself crazy trying to keep them clean.

I used this product in my living room, dining room, foyer area, and throughout the hallways. I do not miss carpet at all! This floor makes the room look classic and updated. I've only had it for a couple of days, but it is great so far. The dark color makes it a little difficult to keep clean, but a terri mop helps.

This flooring is beautiful and extremely well priced for the impact it has on a room. It looks expensive and completely changed the look of our basement. It can be installed directly on the concrete floor since the padding is attached which made it very easy to install. It's also durable and easy to clean. I would buy this flooring again for another room in my house or recommend to anyone.

We put this flooring in our Master bedroom, family room and formal living and dining. It is absolutely beautiful. We get lots of compliments. We had it professionally installed, but went down really quickly. Installer said one of the best laminates he has worked with. My floors look so good, my best friend went and put the same flooring in her master bedroom. Cons, if there are any, would be it shows dust easily. But with a teenager and a dog in the home and two grandkids that visit frequently, I just keep a dust broom handy. Service at lumbar liquidators was great.

I love the look of these floors. Everyone comments on how beautiful my floors look. And most people have no idea they are laminate. They go in pretty easy. We did the entire house (except bathrooms and kitchen) in a weekend. The cons for me are they show every piece of dog hair and dirt. And they scratch too easily. I would recommend felt pads under everything. But I would buy again. They really transformed the look of my house. Enjoy

Getting your room measurements figured is the most important step. Example I was doing a room the was 19'6 x 12ft and decide to lay it width wise. So I decided to run rows that started with 3 full boards equaling 143.25 inches on a 144 inch room allowing for spacers on each side. Coming back in the other direction I started with a 31.25 board and ended with a 16.5 board the came back with another 31.25 board and ended again with a 16.5 then did the full planks again.
Advice: Put blue paint tape or masking tape on the bottom of the pull bar over the round felt circles. Lay the flooring over your floor vents but mark the center location and come back and drill a hole and use a router to carve them out. With the long boards side them back and forth in the channel about 10 times that will heat them up and make them easier to put in place. When you bend them down to about 15 degrees take a rubber mallet and hit both side ends and you'll hear a snap allowing you to press it in place tight.

When a waterbed goes bust and the safety liner has been clawed by the cats which you weren't aware of, you come home one day to a soggy mess. If it's time to replace a floor and you are as anti carpet as I (we) are even tho porcelain or slate was your first choice give Lumber Liquidators a try. So glad we finally got one in Spring, TX closeby. If you're starting from scratch or having to merge in a new floor with existing carpet, tile whatever, you will find something. Laminates have come a long way and the 12mm attached pad, the beveled appearance to all edges that click together, even the ends really sold me! I was still preferring hardwood or maybe even bamboo, but saw that sample floor in a secondary room of the showroom and I fell in love. Found out it was laminate afterwards, didn't care, had to have it. I'm a believer now. I'm sure it will wear well in the bedroom. We got a great sale price, they calculated quantities correctly. Only 1 sub-par piece in the bunch, 4 rows to the end, which we noticed when it was done. Oooh, what's wrong with that one? My poor hubby carefully unclicked and slid out the rows, replacing the marred piece with a new one. After that, only 1 four-foot plank left. Our project took over a month, but everything had to be redone. The floor, 2 days. We are so happy it's almost stupid. Good luck and thank you.

This looks beautiful and actully doesn't look like a laminate. It was fairly easy to install once you got the hang of it. It's only been down for 3 days and we haven't moved the furniture back in the room so I don't know how well it's going to wear. This is my first laminate floor and is in a spare bedroom that doesn't get much traffic. The rest of my house is real oak hardwood that I can beat to death and it still looks great so I'm a little worried about laminate not holding up. Only time will tell. We used 7 boxes of this flooring and none of the were really damaged, 2 had a small chip at the end. I read some terrible reviews AFTER I bought the flooring but we didn't have any of the problems the other people were talking about.

I purchased this product for 2 bedrooms, pictures can't describe the look and feel of the room. It gave the rooms a very rich and expensive look. I can't wait to install it in my bedroom as well. The floor product is already prepared with the foam underlayment so all i needed was the moisture barrier and matching 1/4 round molding. It took less than 3 hours to tear out the old Pergo floor and install this one. My foundation is concrete so this may have added to the ease of installation. The pictures tend to look a bit more brown in color but it really depends on the light coming into the room. When you look at the floor in person it looks like a rich mahogany color. The floor looks awesome!

We were first time installers so did our master closet first to get used to working with it before tackling the huge bedroom.

We learned that you can never use pieces you cut both ends of - one has to have a locking portion - so always start each row with a cut end towards the wall. If you start with a whole board, cut the lip off the wall side so the wood isn't so far from the wall when you leave the 1/4 inch.

Although I bought a special saw blade and was careful, there is still some splintering of the top but since you always put that towards the wall, the baseboard hides it.

You'll need a good table or mitre saw though a small very fine hand saw (hack saw) is good for notching out around doors.

I don't know about the longevity because we just finished getting it in last week and haven't even put in furniture yet.

But it is amazingly beautiful, rich and warm.

Love this floor. Saw it on the website in a picture of a bedroom. It was beautiful, but then got to the store and saw it and thought it looked reddish brown, and liked it but wasnt in love as before. My husband didnt like it at all. But, then after 3 hours in the store and couldnt decide, the lady finally said "I can get some slats and maybe that will help you decide", well when I saw it I liked it alot on the floor. My husband was finally coming around to liking it. Well my floors went in yesterday, and the floor looks exactly like the floor in the bedroom picture on the website. So anybody who is on the fence about this particular floor, dont be, its gorgeous, and it looks just like real wood, without all the work of real wood. St. Jame Vintners Reserve laminate is the name. Oh by BTW it went in my living room and dining room..and stairs..next will be redoing the bedrooms and staircase and second floor landing with it. Just gorgeous.

This floor was very easy to install and looks great, but it gets marked very easily. I tried many things to clean it and the only thing that seems to work is Murphy's oil. This floor is so beautiful, its hard to believe its laminate. Great quality and completely changed the look of our home. Make sure you or your installer do a good job of alternating boards and doing a good offset pattern, or this stuff could look quite weird due to the darker surfaces by the edges, but ours is fabulous.

This was only the third floating laminate floor system I've installed, but it was by far the easiest to install and best looking floor. I installed this flooring in a bedroom. My first attempt at a floating floor. I found the first few rows a struggle, but after that was able to fit them together very quickly. There were a few end joints that did not want to 'snap' together, but after much pounding they fit together. The floor looks very nice and I am happy with the quality of this flooring. It looks more realistic than many of the wood look laminates. There was not much waste, only a few boards that in the light had a few flaws. I would recommend this product.

I loved that it took my husband and I only 2 days to install it. It was really easy since it simply clicks together. The only thing you would need to have is a ruler, a jigsaw and a sturdy surface to cut the laminates. The boards fit easily together and it gives the room a very warm and rich color. The most difficult part of the project was fitting it under the baseboards, which took some finesse. We had hired some carpet professionals to install new carpet on our stairs who also install hardwoods and laminates. They were asking $2 per square foot(ridiculous) to install them before we decided this is something we can tackle but they saw the job we did on our floor and paid us the ultimate compliment by offering us a job (Lol). Before you buy the laminates make sure you take into consideration the reducers, quarter rounds and all that to save yourself the trip. I know in my area they were a nice little drive away and going back and forth for a few things wasn't great. The staff there were fantastic, super easy to talk to and didn't try to sell you the more expensive flooring, they actually listened to your needs (i.e. I have kids and they are little and just beginning to walk so I need something that will be more or less scratch resistant and durable). Overall I'm extremely happy with the product and how easy it was to install. I would recommend it to anyone.

Seems like a quality product. Doesn't look exactly like wood, but it's close...and a great choice for durabilty and value. I like that the pad is pre-glued to the product, and the thickness really helps give it a strong feel. I chose the pro installation of almost 700 sq. ft. in my living room, master bedroom and hallways. It looks really good...so much better than the nasty carpet it replaced. Overall, a great choice.

we just had this installed yesterday by the professionals. i hear it's really easy to install if you have the time (we didn't w/my husbands work schedule). it looks amazing in our living room/hallway! cleans up really easy so far (we will see how it stands up to a 2 yr old). it did get a few scratches i noticed in the installation but it's not like i can just replace the few scratched planks so we will have to live with it. otherwise i love it. it looks rustic yet modern with our decor. i would definitely recommend this floor.

This is a nice product, doesn't have the durable finish though that make some laminates scratch proof (raised epoxy to protect laminate).. The other knock on this product is the pattern, 80% of the planks were the same so trying to install was tricky.

We used this flooring to replace the carpet that had become worn and stained. We wanted something that would be less maintenance. The great thing about this flooring is the elegant look it gave our living room and the fact that it would look great with any color walls or furniture. Only one very minor thing that is not so great but is no big deal is that it shows the grandkids hand prints when they are playing on the floor. We have found the flooring to be very durable no matter what gets thrown at it.

Great floor. A little hard to install. After a few rows, installs easily. We own a 200 lb dog, English Mastiff, and he doesn't scratch it. Two kids under 4 haven't hurt the floor either. Deep finish, nice look.

The product is beautiful when installed, but beware of several traps. First, the pieces fit well together during install, but do slide apart around corners after the spacers are removed and floor is walked on over a period of time. Second, the finish does show usage marks very quickly and is difficult to clean.

Be careful to not let any large areas of water/fluid sit on it long, as it will soak between the seams and leave a "bubble" looking spot. I would not recomend for a bathroom. I do have it in my kitchen and have not had a problem. Did have a spill that was not caught for several hours and not have a spot that is "bubbled" at a seam. I love the floor otherwise and get lots of compliments. I have two dogs and have not noticed and scratches from them on it.

Out of 21 cases I only had one piece with a broken edge. The surface scratches easier than I would have thought, it's certainly scratch resistant but can scratch and chip. This product is very glossy, if you want a floor that you don't have to clean often don't get this product. I shows every footprint. Best used in formal areas.

This is absolutely fantastic. A friend installed this in my kitchen in just two days over a month ago and it's proven itself indestructible! Two young kids and our large dog have had zero impact on the finish. Cleans easily and has really warmed up the room. Echos have reduced, and even the hum of the refrigerator has been knocked down to a whisper. Compliments on the wide planks, the rich deep color tones and the satin finish have not stopped. Spots wipe right up and the maintenance so far has been swiffering with an occasional vacuum with the roller brush turned off. Totally worth the extra few cents per foot for the thicker boards and beveled edges. Almost no waste from the install, either. Love it.

The product went in without any problems. There is not enough description on what to use to clean the floor. We have used Bona so far - but we have not had it long enough to know if we will have the finish filming issues that others have described. But so far so good, love how it looks.

The flooring looks like a million bucks. Bought to replace our worn out carpet. Easy and fairly quick to install. I would recommend this be installed by a pro if you are not a fairly experienced do-it yourselfer. In a square or rectangular room it would be an easy install. If you are carrying the flooring all through a house or you have a lot of doorways to run it through, you may need help.

The wood was in great condition and 100% usable; nothing in box broke, mis-matched or anything else like real wood. Everything was one length, unlike real wood so I had to start the project with cutting. The floor came with a pad which I thought would be easier for a beginner but it is squeaky and I don't know what to do about it as LL says I cannot put more pad down. It also sounds wierd walking on it, and I'd prefer a more solid feel.

BUT, it was easy to lay! It is great with the dogs! However the rough grooves bewteen the treads are3 somewhat difficult to clean mud and sand out of.

I think it will be in my house for a couple of decades.

I recently renovated my new house and had my contractor install this flooring. Of the $20k we put into the house, this flooring receives the most compliments. I have a very large dog and so far have not noticed any scratches. Before buying it I tried very hard to scratch a sample with my keys and it didn't scratch at all. The thickness and built-in padding are wonderful and make for very little noise when walking on it. I am definitely happy with this product.

Neither my husband nor myself have ever done any sort of DIY work beyond swapping out light fixtures and faucets; installing 800sf of this flooring has been our very first major home improvement project. It is totally do-able for anyone with a bit of patience, persistance, and a decent toolbox. I can't spacially visualize to save my life, and my husband stinks at math, so, if we can do it, anyone can. We managed to get down about 450sf (master suite and dining room) this weekend, and I anticipate finishing the remainder (our great room and halls)tonight. It's gorgeous and totally worth the work.

So far, we have only encountered one defective board out of everything we've opened (about 500sf), so I'm extremely happy with the quality of the product. Did I mention it's gorgeous? The best thing I can say about this flooring is what a contractor my husband works with said when he came over to check our progress,"Wow, that doesn't even look like laminate!"

I bought the floor and decided to install it myself. This is the first of any flooring and pretty much any carpenter work i have ever done. I had a 13ft by 13ft room and i started at about 3 in the after noon and i finished at about 12 midnight. I did the entire room alone. Very easy to install and i am going to do my living room and hallway with it. This floor made me look like a professional floor installer.

We put this in our dining room. We had help from my Dad but it was very easy to install. We used a hand saw and a circular saw. Snaps together very easily and comes apart easily too if you make a mistake. Be carefull tapping the boards in on the ends. We damaged a few where they had smashed slightly. You could not really tell untill they were laid then you could see the two edges together were not flat. We had a metal tool made for this job but I think that was causing the problem. We switched to a small block of wood which seemed to work better.

We recently had water damage and had to replace the flooring in our Hall, LR, DR and Study. We had a cheaper laminate flooring prior to purchasing the Vintner's from LL. My husband was very persistant about wanting this floor. I resisted at first, but am very happy that we bought it. It is very beautiful and has the look of engineered hardwood. It has been installed for 3 weeks now. As other people have commented, it does scratch easily, not sure about the finish, haven't had it long enough, but would think that would be covered under the 30 year warranty. As with anything, you just have to take care of it. We don't wear our shoes in the house, they come off in the garage. We have a medium size dog in the house, it does track but any floor will. Frequent dust mopping is necessary, but it was with the cheaper laminate. For the price and the ease of installation I couldn't be happier.

We just love this floor! We get compliments on it all the time from first time visitors and friends who stop by. We replaced the existing laminate in the hallways and the nasty carpet in our two living rooms and office, approx 1,100sqft.

I helped my buddy install his St.James Collection African Mohagany floor before mine and his came in various pre-cut lengths. All of my planks were the same length. I wasn't sure if I was going to like how it turned out, but we both agreed it was much easier and faster to install and looks amazing!

WE HATED OUR CARPET AND MY ALLERGIES SUFFERED. WE HAVE A SMALL DOG AND VERY ACTIVE HOUSEHOLD AND DID NOT WANT UPKEEP AND EXPENSE OF "REAL" HARDWOOD FLOORS. I LOOKED AT THE BIG BOX STORES AND THE CHEAPEST I COULD FIND THICK HIGH END LAMINATE FOR WAS ABOUT DOUBLE WHAT I PAID FOR VINTNERS RESERVE AT LL.

Beautiful Flooring. Used in my kitchen/dining/living rooms and hallway. Made SUCH a beautiful change from carpeting. Fresh, clean, just beautiful. I had flooring professionally installed by store recommended installers, since there were several rooms to be done. A wise choice, and very happy with both the flooring and installers.

The product did not snap togther as easily as told a few "taps" with a hammer, while at the 45 angle were needed on every board[...] We are installing in several different rooms and are not complete yet.

My wife hated our dirty carpet - it was bad. Knowing new carpet would eventually turn out the same along with the constant worry of dirty appearance know matter how often cleaned, we decided on this flooring. We're both thrilled at the appearance and value. Should have done it years ago. Plan on doing our living room and dining room with the same product.

GReat product, although have to be very carefull upon completion of remodeling project. Gentle with heavy objects or light tool falls.

Even thru tarps, cardboard and paper can be damaged .

USe furniture marks to touch up little nicks scraches or dents. Helps alot.

Overall durable and useful product in non moist areas.

Everyone who has seen it expresses how surprised they are that this is a laminate product. The deep color and beautiful, durable finish are absolutely stunning. Have 2 cats who still have back claws and there are no scratches no matter how much they chase each other. I'd recommend this product in a heartbeat. I'm seriously considering installing it in the bedrooms now. Currently, it's in the formal dining, living, library, and office. GORGEOUS!!!

We are remodeling just about everything in our house. We had a really awful carpet that the seller installed but had quickly deteriorated. When we pulled it up from the hall, we found what would have been beautiful oak hardwood, had it not been grossly stained as well as screwed down to prevent the squeaks. Hence, new flooring.
Initially I just new I was going to get the Russet laminate of this line, but when my husband and I traveled the hour to the nearest LL, we decided it was not going to work for us. Staying with the Dream Home family, we picked this instead. The colors matched a table we got as a wedding gift, so the better choice was made.
A friend did the installation of the flooring in just a few hours. He said it was great quality since it was thicker than most and had the attached underlayment. We like the 30 year warranty, too. I found a less expensive line of moulding at my local hardware store and added the baseboard and casings around doors and windows as well as the threshold transitions with that.
We are very pleased with our new flooring. It's gorgeous, seems durable after several weeks, and very easy to sweep clean! The individual boards have nice V-grooves for a hardwood look.

The floor covers our entire downstairs-kitchen, dining, family room and it's gorgeous. Because of the gloss finish, it does show everything-be prepared to wipe down OFTEN.

Wow! What a difference this flooring has made in our home. As newly weds and new homeowners we were very excited, yet selective to choose new flooring to replace the not so great carpet in our home. We feel in love with this floor when seeing it in store. It completely opens up the whole first floor. A great pro is that because of the variance in coloring, this floor looks great with any type of furniture, we have wood and black and both look fanatastic! Also... for those of oyu who have animals, we have two young dogs, both pushing 60 pounds who are quite active... they haven't harmed the floor other than dog hair. :) You will be thrilled with this floor!

Had this professionally installed by the installers recommended by Lumber Liquidators! It is so beautiful, and perfect for our place, as we have sort of a south western influence, cherry & mahogany woods, with light maple cabinets. It provides a perfect contrast to the maple, and gives a great ambiance to the rooms!

The vintners reserve flooring was easy to install and looked beautiful. Unfortunately
this product is not durable at all. One week after installation we cleaned it twice as the manufacturer recommended. The entire floor was covered with very fine scratches that are extremely noticable when the sunlight is on it.

We wanted a darker laminate that looks like real wood. With a big Labrador Retriever and me being in a wheelchair, we preferred a durable low maintenance laminate over real wood. We couldn't be more pleased with the Vintner's Reserve from Lumber Liquidators. We put it in the living room, family room and hall...it looked so good we decided to put it in the kitchen as well.

Pretty easy to install, but time consuming. If you don't want to tackle a project, and can afford the extra expense, I'd go with the professional install.

I agree with many of these reviews, and have mixed feelings about this floor. Our contractor installed it as part of a remodel so can't speak to that, he said it was a "piece of cake." Variety of color and width of boards is GREAT. I dust it almost daily, which I don't mind, but any heavier cleaning leaves streaks (using only water, soy or other recommended products.) After a few months, there is a cloudy film in the high traffic area, appears to be pet/foot prints or the gloss wore off. This DOES NOT come out. Probably best for bedroom or no shoes/pets.

The floor looks really nice once installed. The first three or four rows were the most difficult, due to the floating nature of the floor. They tended to shift around while adding new planks. You'll want extra hands to help. A couple of edges chipped pretty easily when installing, but since it's been down, our 90# Golden Retriever hasn't made a scratch in the finish. Cutting is easy, and once locked together, the planks are solid. There aren't any instructions on how to keep the floor clean (and it shows EVERY speck, perhaps not a good choice for families with dogs), and on-line support is really lacking. Jury is still out, but so far, so good. Certainly cannot beat the price.

This is an incredibly beautiful product. We had trouble unlocking the product but if you keep it in the box, push on one board, the other easily lifts up. If you are planning on installing yourself and are a novice, I recommend you get some sound advise on hard to install areas, i.e., closets, etc. It is important to ensure you don't have too much space between your transition area (i.e. tile to laminate). Also, I painted a room after it was installed - wasn't able to do it prior to installation, and knowing how durable the product was I used steel wool to get the paint off (didn't rub hard) it removed the paint easily.... AND the finish : ( I did it at night so I didn't notice the results until the morning. It's a great product just understand it does have limitations (no steel wool).

Easy installation--just don't hit too hard with the hammer or the ends will crack. Otherwise absolutely gorgeous floor. Looks even better than in-store. Guests think it's real hardwood flooring. Definitely would recommend this product!

fairly easy to install once you get the hang of it. very durable - we dropped several tools on it - but not totally indestructable. dark color means you have to be active in keeping it clean. this floor transformed the look of our house.

I installed this floor in my mothers house, it went down very easy. As a first time home buyer I installed a similar floor in my house and it went down just as easy. It was a bit time consuming, but overall I would certainly reccomend this flooring to anyone!

This was my first install of hardwood/laminate flooring and although somewhat labor intensive, it really is not that hard and is easier than laying tile.

We installed this floor in my Son's first home in 3 bedrooms and the hallway upstairs over wood sub-flooring. I am currently workng on the stairs and will add pic and write up when completed for the stairs.

This floor looks beautiful when installed and I would have no problem installing this floor in an entire home. In fact, if tile was not already installed downstairs we would have installed this floor downstairs also.

I had my nephews install this in my familyroom which is pretty large. It is very warm color although a little rustic. It looks like a much more expensive flooring product. Running it sideways made the very long room seem much wider. It looks great and was pretty easy for them to install. Not sure yet about cleaning since it did seem a little streaky but I'm going to change the cleaning solution and see if that helps.

This product is awesome and is beautiful once its on your floor. We put this in our master bedroom in our first home and its so beautiful that we intend to put it upstairs in our guest room, office and all the way down our stairs. It was easy to put in, my husband and his friend did it together as beginners on a Saturday afternoon, pulling up the carpet was harder than putting this floor down. The color, finish and shine off of this floor is amazing. I would highly recommend it for people who like dark woods and warm colors.
