This was our second time to purchase this flooring for our house. In 2009 we put it in our living room and dining room and we have just finished adding it to a hall and 2 bedrooms.

Prior to our 2009 installation my husband has absolutely no experience whatsoever doing flooring. He watched a diy video online and took it from there. It took him a little while to get going but once he got the hang of it, it was super easy. This time installation was more time consuming due to some strange angles and uneven walls but there were no issues with the flooring itself.

I have to say this floor holds up really well. We have 3 kids, 2 cats and a 1 dog and have not had any problems so far. I think the color is great for small spaces- really helps open things up!

Used in bedroom where there is not much traffic which would (and already has) induce warping and fading finish. Appearance is bright and cheery. Installation is easy with minimal chipping. The seams are already spreading, though that may be due to incorrect installation of the foam padding. Definitely a bargain buy.

Make sure floor is level. Very important. For a bedroom this is the best stuff. I would rather not put this in a family room or other pass through/high traffic room, especially if you have 4 boys running through the house. Also, instead of buying quarter round, I repaintedmy old trim and laid it right on top of my new floor. It gives it a much nicer look. A little bit more time consuming but well worth it.

I spent way more on the same quality stuff at the big box retailers.

Over concrete slab (moisture barrier and padding) in dining, living, kitchen, foyer and hall. It would have been nearly impossible to install had I not removed the moulding first. It was a very good value even with the trim pieces needed to transition in the bedroom doorways. The flooring pieces fit together well and it looks really nice. My wife is happy.

make sure you acclimate the flooring to the room although colder is better, for you'd rather it expand into the gap you've left on the out side edge then shrink and pull apart to leave small gaps all over the whole floor.

Installing took a little longer to begin with since we have never installed laminate flooring before. Once we got the hang of it it was a breeze and finished it in less than a day. It looks and sounds excellent. Used Roberts Harmony 3-in-1 underlayment. Definitely glad we bought a lot to do most of our house!

Installed it in an old double wide - works fine.
Original floor proved to be not stable enough, we
took up the LR and laid 3/4T&G plywood throughout,
relaid laminate. Now includes LR, DR, Kitchen, hall, bedroom.
Looks good, works well, laid easily. Seems somewhat
sensitive to subfloor - make sure it's in good shape
and use a little Fixall if needed.
Recent purchase was additional to finish Kitchen -
if it holds up to cleaning and moisture I'll be happy.

I am on a practically non existant budget but needed to do something with my family room floor. My husband rolled his eyes when I decided to put a new living room floor down in the home we were temporally living in. But being a good husband he went along with me and since then we put it down in the kitchen and both bedrooms. After each instal we just look at the floor and smile and breath a BIG sigh of releaf. We installed over industrial tiles and used the thicker underlayment because the floors were so uneven. The floors are of course much warmer than before. We are bringing my sis to the store to purchase enough to do her entire mobile home.

We just bought this floor about about two weeks ago and have put it in the living room and dining room. We bought enough to do the bed rooms to. The floors look awesome and were a easy install. Bought this product because of the price and the looks. After taking home and unloading 20 cases, I opened the 1st case and it was damaged along with 2 other cases. I opened an undamaged case and got fimualar with it. It was very delicate and very difficult to put together and that was with just just with 3 pieces. Took it back to the store so they could show me how to put it together and they had hard time doing it. They recomend I step up to a simmular 8mm product they had on special. Man was he right the 8mm was so much easier to install, the 6mm doesnt have much to grab on to and is not worth the little money I would of saved! I was able to get a close out they had only at the store for[$] cents a ft (20 yr Warrantee) compaired to [$] cent per ft (10 yr Warrantee). So if you are installing it yourself spend a little more, you wont be sorry. Another note this took 2 full days and nights to install 650 sq ft so you will be sore the next day, so do as much as you can the first day because when day 2 comes you will find it very hard to continue, pain meds help!

We covered a corner wall with this product, and going on a wall, it had to be nailed in a few spots, you must use a drill to pre-drill nail holes, this is a very hard surface laminate.
Wipes down great, just used a damp rag.

I installed the Dream Home Sweedish Maple laminate flooring in my living room, dining room, kitchen, hallway and master bedroom. The floors were easy to install and they look great. I have three dogs, so I was worried about how the floors would hold up to the wear, but I haven't had any problems so far. They are very easy to clean and they don't feel like a "laminate" floor (I used the Dream Home foam underlay). The price was great and I am very happy with my purchase. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone.

Great floor for the price. It is thinner and requires a separate foam underlayment. I did my whole laundry room (150 sq. ft.) in about 4 hours though and it looks great.

If you're reading these reviews, then you're like me; hesitant. The price makes this extremely attractive but you have to be thinking to yourself, it can't be good at that price.This stuff is just as good as what you would have picked up from [...] for[$]/sq foot. The only drawback was that it didn't have the underlayment attached, which adds to the cost of the price. So if you went with quietwalk, it brings the price up by about 50 cents a square foot. Totally worth it though. At first this stuff is a little difficult to get going, but this is my first time using any flooring so that could be the case with all of it. Once you get about 3 rows in, you can start worrying more about the joints and positioning your floor. If you stress it for the first three rows, you'll drive yourself crazy.I can't speak to durability, yet--but it looks like it should hold up well.All in all, really nice floor[...]

Installed in 1 bdrm condo (bedroom, living, dining).
The patterns in the boxes are not all the same. There are 5 plank patterns. Of 20 boxes, we ended up with a bunch of 2 patterns, and just a few of the other 3. The pattern on part of one plank looks especially fake. Must've been a printing problem.
Corners do chip easily. Be careful knocking from the end to tighten the joints. The ends are sensitive.
Dry mop works great. Light color means dirt will show more, but easy to clean.

At only [$] per square foot, the bargain of the century. This product looks fine and is easy to install, but it's very thin (only 6mm). After it's installed, it's so thin that it "crackles" and "creaks" when walked on. I would have gladly paid more for a thicker and more substantial laminate, but as it happened this was the only grade that came in the color I needed to match a nearby hallway. But it still looks great, and the bedroom now looks like a new room.

We used this product in a sewing room. It will be great for sweeping up pins and fabric scraps.

I purchased maple laminate from you a couple years ago and wanted to finish the project. When it was done it is a lot darker and golden color then maple, it looks like birch. I am not happy with the color but the contractor laid it down so I'll leave it. It shouldn't be called maple at all.

We just finished re-doing our family room. Couldn't wait to get rid of our ugly old carpet.
Minus the prep work it took us 4 hours to put this in. It is amazing! Especially for the price. The light wood works great with our black furniture. If you are wondering if this is a good buy...It is! Cleans up nicely too!
The only thing I would warn people on is be extremely careful when cutting, it chips easily.

You really can't get any better than this for the money. It is perfect for a rental or a condo where you don't want to put too much money into it, but still want it to look nice. It really brightens up the house.

We've gotten a ton of compliments and it's completely transformed the house. We used it on the entire first floor of our condo, excluding the bathroom. It is very easy to install. Ours took quite a while, but only because we had a ton of cuts to make. The kitchen took a while to do because of the odd angles.

We used the cheaper foam underlayment and I have no regrets. It's no louder than our bathroom floor, which is real hardwood.

We plan on getting more to do our guest bedroom and possibly the basement family room. It's by far the best flooring option for the money. It loooks like you spent a lot more than you will. The most expensive part is the different trim pieces: reducer, t-molding, stair nose, quarter round, etc. We used it all!

Wonderful flooring! It looks beautiful! We had never installed laminate before, but it was quite easy. Of course, we have a table saw and miter saw that really came in handy when cutting it. It is surprisingly easy to install and quickly done once you get started. Not sure about the durability yet since we just installed it.

I ran this flooring wall to wall in my home, excluding laundry and bath rooms. It went down easily and quickly. I have two dogs, and the floor has held up nicely under their claws and constant drooling. :) Be sure to get good underlayment, it is the secret to a good finished product.

The dingy carpet we had in our baby nursery needed to be replaced so after reading the reviews I decided to give this a try. What a difference this flooring made in our baby nursery. It was very easy to install and seems very durable and it is beautiful to look at. It brightened the room up as well! All we have to do now is install quarter round and we're done! This is the first time we have done flooring like this and my husband, dad and brother were here to help. We had about 550 sq feet and it took us about 8 hours by the time we got started. It was pretty easy and we had some hard angles to cut but it came out amazing.

Getting the initial few pieces set is the most important so just make sure you get all of the inital seams to click and it will be smooth sailing from there. For the price this flooring can't be beat. It was so inexpensive and has made such a difference with my budget being so small. The only negative that I can list is that the product is a little loud to walk on. It kind of sounds like you're wearing high heels even if you're not. All things considered though I would definitely recommend this to others.

For the price, you can't beat this product. The cheapest carpet with adequate padding is more than this product and this has a better look. I recommend this for folks who need to be cost conscious and cannot decide between this and inexpensive carpet. This cleans easier and looks good. I had the fiance of a friend install this floor in my living room/dining room/hallway on the first floor of my townhome. The area totaled almost 500 square feet. It took him 2 days after work for a few hours each day to install the floor with padding and water sealer covering over a concrete slab floor as well as install the trim.
The walls are painted with Behr's Peanut Butter and the trim is all white.
This floor has totally changed the look of the rooms. It looks so nice,several of my neighbors as well as the installer's brother will most likely be purchasing the same floor for their homes.
By the end of the year, I hope to have him install laminate flooring in all the rooms on the second floor as well.(Most likely the same product but different colors)

Husband and I put in the five year old's room to test it out and to see if we wanted to do the rest of the house with laminate. We found that turning the planks upside down when cutting to fit the finish pieces that it did not chip the finish. She loves it and now her allergies have almost dissappeared thanks to the carpet being gone. It has been installed for two months now and seems to hold out like a champ from the three kids, two cats, one dog and all the play date trafficing that happens here. Only con to the floor is that I don't like leaving her room because it is so cheery and clean looking. We are looking forward to returning to purchase more flooring and finish the rest of the house. We recommend this to any allergy sufferer or person who hates vaccuums. You will love this product.

We bought this floor for our living room/kitchen/hallway.
After struggling with the first two rows (the seams kept coming apart), we finally got things figured out and rolling. It LOOKS beautiful; however, it chips easily and the seams come apart way too easily, even after the floor was fully installed. We have to jump and push on the seam to get them to go back in. Also, BUY THE GOOD UNDERLAYMENT if you are going to use this floor! Don't try to cut corners with the cheaper foam. And, they don't tell you this, but you need a track to go with the end caps and reducers. You can get them at any hardware store, but for a hefty price. This floor will do its job for a few years, considering we aren't planning on living here forever. Next time, I will buy bamboo with a 30 year warranty. Laminate just feels so "plasticky" and thin. YOU WILL GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!!

I installed a partial floor in a game room. The flooring did not install easily. It did not snap together as it was advertized. I had to use heavy weights to keep the first boards stationary while I added more. The edges kept arrping up making it difficult to align the ends to tap together. It looks nice, now that it's finished, but getting there was a royal pain.

For the price of this product, you can't get any better. We needed an easy, inexpensive fix for our two kids bedrooms, so when we found this, we were thrilled. I can't believe how well the floors turned out. Our sons nursery looks like it is off one of the HGTV type shows!! Would recommend this to everyone. For the price, the quality is very good, and if it is something you get sick of in 5 yrs, it would not kill you to replace it since it is so inexpensive.

We weren't real confident in how this floor would hold up to the rough wear it would get from our Maine weather and our 2 Newfoundland dogs who love to rough-house with each other. We've had it a year now, and it looks just as good as it did when we first installed it. Our living room is 17 x 25 and we installed it in one day, had never done it before. So much easier to keep clean than carpet! You'd never know there were 2 walking piano benches with long nails--as long as all the fur tumbleweeds were picked up! Well...I had the boyfriend installing this for me in 2 bedrooms, hallway, entry, living and dinning room. First, I have never installed any type of flooring before and wasn't sure I could do this. I was wrong! I installed this flooring on the entire first floor of a townhouse (including the kitchen) after removing the old carpet and tile. I used the regular moisture barrier and pad instead of the premium pad and had no problems. Remember to use Duct Tape on your first few boards to keep them together, I forgot and had trouble until I remembered. Another tip be very careful using the "pull-bar" near walls, you must hold the bar down when tapping if not it can (and will) pull up and chip the end of the plank. Once completely installed there was no "hollow" sound and everything felt and sounded solid. I did have some minor separation at the ends of some boards but was able to kick (yes, kick) them back into place and close the seam. Once I installed the baseboards and 3/4" quarter round I didn't have any additional seams open on me. The floor looks great and for the money this is a great product.

Just started to install the floors Sunday evening at 6pm in my daughters 168 sq foot room. I've NEVER installed floors before in my life!! I had my 9 yr daughter help and I plan on finishing the floors by this evening. The floor is beautiful! It's very bright and easy to sweep/clean...when cutting I used only a jigsaw and had no problems. My only complaint would be that you have to be very careful since it's only a 6mm board because the pieces can chip easily on the edges, but the Install Kit is a must w/ the tapping block, spacers and pull bar. I used a regular hammer to tap the block with no problem. I would highly recommed the best underlayment since this is a thin floor. I got QuietWalk from another home improvement store at [$]for a 100 sq. foot roll which I needed two. Other than that, I can't wait to finish because I plan on doing the entire upstairs in laminate! I would definitely recommend to do it yourself and save money instead of paying someone else. If I can do it as a 32 female w/ my 9 year old daughter as an assistant..believe me, anyone can!! Enjoy!

I used this product in my son's bedroom and I liked it so much I bought it for my daughter's bedroom. It looks great with either dark or light colored walls. It has a nice clean look. Makes the room look elegant. The only problem is you have to be careful handling it because it chips easily from the corners when installing.

If you are considering this floor, and you are unsure if you want to put this type of product in your basement, I want you to consider no longer! Just do it! It is so much better than carpet. It is easy to clean and does not hold moisture like carpet.

I am so thrilled with this product. At first, I could not believe the price point. Since my budget was limited, and I decided to take a chance. The end result:I am THRILLED--just thrilled.

I have to continued working in other rooms in my basement after I had already installed the flooring in the main area of the basement. Clean up from construction dust was so easy.

The flooring looks so good that my neighbors are all going to use the same flooring. Also, it was very easy to install. Very easy. I installed about 900 sq. ft. in about 12 hours. I am a novice.

Was afraid it was too light when I saw it in the store, but in my home it is just perfect! My windows all face North, so it isn't that sunny. The floor looks a lovely honey color.

My husband did most of the installation, I was the helper. Once we go the hang of it it was fairly easy to install. I can't speek of durability or cleaning because we just finished installing and have a lot of clean up before I can even clean the floors.

But they look great! Absolutely perfect!

Installation was a bit tricky until my husband and I got the flow down. It is in the hallway and the living room of our condo which we just recently remodeled. It's easy to clean and wonderful for dogs once they get use to walking on it.

I've walked on these types of floors (floating)before and didn't like the hollow sound it makes, I ended up experimenting with differant adhesives and, I used adhesive (full coverage) and brads (sparingly) I them gave the whole floor a coat of varnish after covering the small brad hole and painting a border around the room, It's been a couple of months and so far its SOLID as a rock.

Install was a bit tricky in the beginning. The last time I installed laminate was with Pergo and it was 8MM thick. This laminate is only two millimeters thinner, but that makes it a little more pliable and a little trickier to align.

The floor was very easy to install. An upgraded underlayment is definitely a necessity. After installation gaps started to develop at the ends of the floor pieces (ends don't have the interlocking connection). I have a feeling this might be a problem with all 6mm products.

Underlayment was the most expensive part of this project. Because the floor was installed in the basement over cement, the recommended underlayment "3-in-1" was quite pricey. The product itself is perfect for a basement. Light, bright, clean looking, & durable. Easy to install.

However, this product has far exceeded my expectations and I can see it lasting longer than other flooring materials I put in my home. First time laminate install. Worked alone and took my time (2 days) but could have done it in a day. A rubber mallet and the cheap install kit are REQUIRED! Pieces went together easily. Great look for the price!

Purchased 300 sqft for measured 280 sqft room with 5 doorway/transitions and one 45 degree angled wall. Had a full box left (25 sqft) for later use. I also purchased the Quiet Walk Underlayment and Reducer/End Caps.

Underlayment worked well on concrete with waterproof duct tape seams. Reducers are made with a groove to slip into a metal bracket, but DID NOT come with the metal brackets. Had to purchase some $10 non-matching sets at Wal-Mart to get the metal brackets. Will not purchase the reducers next time.

TIPS:
Use a soft brush to keep joints free of dust.
Will need water proof duct tape for seams and cuts in underlayment.
Buy the install kit! Angled pull bar required!
Use extra pieces of underlayment to slide furniture around.

I love the way this looks -- exactly as I wanted. Can't comment yet on wear or durability, as it's new. It's not really a con, but I found we had to handle it very gently as we installed to prevent nicks or damage to interlocking. Although I'm pretty good at "handyman" stuff, I could have done this early in my "career" in home repair and remodeling.

With a little extra care during instillation, you can avoid the pitfalls of some of the uneven manufacturer cuts. It was very inexpensive, but it looks good when finished. Hopefully it will last for at least the 10 years its warrantied for.

I suggested this flooring to a client for a basement remodel. They initially wanted carpet, however the ease of cleaning and durability of the laminate flooring was appealing to them.
Installation of about 250 sq/ft of flooring, shoe moulding, and two door thresholds, took only about one day.
I was extremely pleased with the quality of the product and consistancy of the joints. Very little time was wasted fussing with stubborn connections.
Cutting the product was very easy with regular power and hand tools, however it was dusty due to the nature of the material.
I would recommend using a light colored pencil or crayon to mark cut lines on the bottom of the planks. Normal pencil lines were difficult to follow on the dark brown underside.
Overall myself, and more importantly the clients, were extremely pleased with the final result.

I used this to line the floor of an enclosed trailer.It was to used to help ease things in and out of the trailer without staining my back. A little furnature polish to help make it slick and it was easy to boxes, furnature, and things in and out of the trailer.

The website truly doesnt show how sharp this floor really looks. Drove out to the closest [...] and took a look for myself. This is a great looking floor, with a very realistic finish. Does not have that waxy looking finish over the top, however that may play into how long the floor keeps its sharp finish. A good majority of my house i sin laminate, and this was some of the easier laminate to install.
