Comments about Schön Engineered 3/8" x 3" Brazilian Koa Engineered Flooring:
Beautiful, very little waste, easy to install and maintain. I stapled it with the Bostich sk150 floor stapler and standard 1/4" crown, 1", 18 guage staples to the 3/4" plywood subfloor. It took a bit of prep getting the squeaks out and leveling, but it was worth it. All our friends have pine floors with poly finish, and they all are impressed with the wearability of the aluminum oxide coating. 100% satisfied.

I used this Schon koa in my living and dining rooms(about 400 sq ft). It went dow without a hitch-- stapled to 5/8 ply sub over concrete slab. Hardly any waste. Great product would hghly recommend. I bought a PortaNailer 461 to do the stapling-- worked great

I was very pleased with this floor. Comparing this floor to other engineered floors, there was no comparison in quality. Installed very easily and required very little effort to ensure a very nice snug fit between all pieces.

Comments about Schön Engineered 3/8" x 3" Brazilian Koa Engineered Flooring:
The Schon Brazilian Koa engineered floor looks absolutely gorgeous. The color deepens over the course of six monhts and acquires an orangish-red tone as it photo-reacts. The hardest part of the project involved pulling up the old tile in the foyer and the eat-in kitchen, because the thin set had to be completely removed. In the living room, we had to pull up the old carpet, pad, and tacking, which wasn't too hard, except the pad had been glued down, so we had to do a lot of scraping to prepare the surface. Once the surface was clean and flat, the wood went down super quick. It is much easier than laying tile in my opinion. We absolutely love our Brazilian Koa floors and get heaps of compliments. I believe the look of the floor will stand the test of time, and will not look dated. It is a very elegant floor, but not a stuffy look. We did get some scratches on the floor where we have our kitchen table and chairs, even though we had covered the leg ends with plastic covers. This was remedied by applying felt instead, and we have not had any further scratching since doing this.

This was a little more of a challenge than I anticipated. My concrete floors needed to have a sound absorbing pad glued down first, then I glued the planking to the pad. Final outcome... quiet, unusual and beautiful floor. I love it!!! Thank goodness for Menard's padding and parquet adhesive and Home Depot's pad glue. The job was fairly easy and affordable!

We had old pine floors that needed replaced. The variation in color turned out to be a good thing and the entire house turned out beautiful.
