Comments about Casa de Colour 1/2" x 2-1/4" Butterscotch Oak:
Floor was easy to install. Beveled edges make for a good fit and appearance. Floor pieces fit together very well and do not need coaxing to make a tight fit. Beautiful finish, but show scratches easily.

Love our new wood floors! I'm real happy with the quality of the product, it looks absolutely beautiful, and it's super easy to take care of.
The floors arrived on time. The installer we used (through Lumber Liquidators), Cook Brothers Const., were wonderful! They were professional, considerate, and I would highly recommend them!

Looks beautiful. The flooring made the room look better than I ever imagined.

Comments about Casa de Colour 1/2" x 2-1/4" Butterscotch Oak:
The contractor was satisfied with the product quality and had no trouble with the install. We were trying to use a narrow plank floor since the original floor was only 1 1/2 inches wide. The mixed lengh box has a lot of smaller pieces and not as many long pieces.

Comments about Casa de Colour 1/2" x 2-1/4" Butterscotch Oak:
Beautiful, easy to install. Can match unfinished oak trim with Golden Pecan stain. 3 or 4 boards from each box were chipped, irregularly sized (width) or had malformed tongue/groove. Given the price and overall quality, this wasn't a big issue for me.

Comments about Casa de Colour 1/2" x 2-1/4" Butterscotch Oak:
The splintering came when using an air nailer. The wood seems to be somewhat brittle (will crack if you drill blind nailing holes too close to the end). There were a LOT of small pieces, not many over two feet long; this makes it more of a pain to install, but leads to a nice look.

Comments about Casa de Colour 1/2" x 2-1/4" Butterscotch Oak:
We recently installed an Oak floor in our living room and foyer area in August of 2008. We went with the Butterscotch finish and it looks beautiful. We went with the 1/2" thickness, but next time I'd use the 3/4" its a bit thicker but also more money (keep that in mind, don't go any less than a 1/2" or you'll be out of the wood catagory and into more plastic materials with some wood material mixed in. Anything less than a 1/2" is not considered real hard wood. Our new room feels and looks warm and rich with color. We had wall to wall berber carpet and was tired of steam cleaning every six months plus the cost adds up, and for that installing a wood floor saves money in the end...plus the return of equity you get for your home beats carpet all the way! I'd install a wood floor again defintley. I found Lumber Liquidators helpful and knew the product they are selling. My second suggestion is if you decide to purchase ask if the item on "sale" is the "Select Brand" the planks are longer on the select brand and less small boards to install....but it most likely it won't be the one they are advertising on the sale (and it's a bit more money, but less labor to install). I found that out when we returned an unused box and said our only complaint our carpenter had was that the boxes of wood had too many small boards which took longer to install. But all in all we are very pleased with the outcome. Also it may be less expensive to find a local floor contractor to install it also, I found LL to be a little expensive if they did the installation. We also ripped out the rug and carpet tracks ourselves which also saved money! I love the floor and would use LL again to do more rooms in the future.
