Just finished installing 3/8 X 3 inch wide Aztec cherry in the bonus room over the garage. First time I've ever installed 3/8 inch flooring (most of my experience has been with ¾ inch U.S. hardwoods like oak, hickory/pecan and ash, and some extremely hard exotics like ipe. I was most impressed with the fit of the wood. The extremely small tongue and grooves slid together quite well without any excess wood to plow out. Nice selection of random lengths (usually 2 or 3 seven footers per box!) but most in the 2-3 foot range. Wood was very straight and the little bow in the longer pieces was easily pulled back tight with minimal effort. The wood is dense (and unfortunately) fairly brittle. Tiny tongues blew out a lot even with the compressor/nailer set at lowest operating pressure (90 psi). I personally don't like staples so used 18 gauge L nails. Would not recommend using 16 gauge unless you want some very expensive kindling. Can't comment on the durability of the finish but the rich, warm brown tones look nice. Fair amount of variety in the grain.[...] Rather time consuming (first was way off color) but final product matched perfectly. [...] Overall, well pleased. [...] Would recommend to a friend for lower use areas. Higher use? Go a full 3/4 inch if the wallet allows.

Super nice finish and easy to install.
Delivery issues were corrected by the staff at the Cranston store. I was very pleased with the way I was treated.

Comments about Casa de Colour 3/8" x 3" Aztec Cherry:
We installed 1000 sq ft of this flooring throughout our entire downstairs including a guest bathroom. The finish was about 99.9% complete of the nearly 38 boxes we bought. The color looks great, took 2" nails well, didn't split when cut, and cut well with 60+ tooth mitre saw. The wood is very dense if the finish and treametment is 100% A few boards were not treated well. I also really liked the various lengths in each box. We did notice this prodcut does get minor surface scratches from our dog (so trim the dog nails)! We also used a few throw rugs near the doors and kitchen sink area. Silicon caulk and additional Bostitch floor nails were used to seal the floor in the bathroom. Also, get good nails and use 30lb felt for a barrier. I did this demo and install over 3 months this past summer and I think the product was an excellent value. I never did this before and did some DIY research. I can't wait for a new appraisal.

We had this floor installed throughout our remodeled house, and it is beautiful. The one drawback is that it shows dust footprints. This is a problem since we haven't landscaped yet, and dust is tracked in from the outside. However, we use the dust mop frequently and that seems to be working.

Comments about Casa de Colour 3/8" x 3" Aztec Cherry:
I just had this flooring installed. It looks excellent! Has just enough variation in color but not too much! I didn't actually do the installation so I can't say if how easy or difficult. Keep in mind that by using more exotic wood that the trim costs a lot more. I will spent about 20% of my total cost just on trim. It's worth it though because who wants to get this nice wood floor and finish it with a .98 cent metal threshold. The only issue I have with the floor is that it does show smudges. I walk barefoot and I can see some smudges on the wood. Its not that big of a deal they wipe off.

Comments about Casa de Colour 3/8" x 3" Aztec Cherry:
The floor is beautiful and adds a lot to any room. Comments: There were pieces that were clearly defective and should not have been packed in the box. These had what looked like worm holes and one was missing the stain finish in one area. Of course the installer used these which I made him replace! Make sure you get someone who knows how to install hardwood, and still supervise what they do! Also, the accessory pieces are VERY expensive. The bull nose strip is[$]. However, when done is does look beautiful. The 3/8" was very easy to install and less expensive than the 3/4".

This flooring is so amazingly beautiful, it is a rich warm color. The price is unbelievable - at other stores we were shown engineered flooring at double the price of this solid wood floor. the price was less than we saw for laminates!! All of your comercials are so true!!! You can't go wrong purchasing from Lumber Liquidators!
