I used this flooring throughout my home and I am very happy so far with it. I have not owned it long but was very impressed when I walked in and saw the floor installed. The contractor that put it down said that it was easy to install and with a little planning on board selection there was very little waste. I highly recommend this floor to anyone who wants a very dark hand scraped wood product.

Overall a good product but the installer I use had to trim about 30 of the pieces in about 600 SF because they were a different width (by about 1/8-3/16"). If a wider piece gets installed and it isn't noticed until the next row it slows down the process. After a few it was easier because he checked every single piece. Honestly, I could have had installed handscraped oak flooring from a local supplier for a similar cost. If you are installing it yourself you would save the labor cost (in our area about $3/SF) but otherwise I would get it locally. A good supply company will provide a product that is similar with a more consistent finish. The stain seems slightly inconsistent and the finish doesn't cover the grain like a finished-in-place floor would making it more difficult to clean. It does seem very durable and other than the odd widths it installed well. We used this because the client thought he could install it himself but didn't have time.

Can anyone help me match this stain? Lumber Liq. did not have any info on this. I need to stain my treads on my stairs to match the floors. The house is a modular and the (Red Oak) stair treads came already installed in the house. Has anyone tried to match this? c-gilbert[@]t Beautiful floors although they scratch easily from what I can tell so far. Also, they scratch a natural wood color as the stain is a very thin coat. The satin finish is a very thin cover and provides little protection and shine unlike any polyurethane coat. Be sure to have plenty of natural light in the house where you put them down or the appearance is much darker (almost a midnight black color)

This is the floor you want if you want everyone that comes to your house....even UPS delivery guys....to comment about how beautiful your floors are....I have around 1500 feet of this in my house and cannot count the number of times I've been asked "What kind of floor is that?" followed by "That's beautiful.". The only con to this floor at all is that due to the dark stain you will see every tiny bit of dirt and dust on this floor.....if that bothers you opt for one of the lighter colors it comes in. Also, take a board of this and have some color matched stain made for yourself at Sherwin Williams so you can touch it up or stain your stair treads/railings to match....

Had it professionally installed. Very happy....easy to clean up dog pee on. Has probably saved a golden retrievers life.

We used this flooring in our kitchen, powder room, great room, and dining areas in our new construction home. It always looks good even with our toddlers and two dogs. Very forgiving. Our builder installed it but said it was great to work with. Super easy to maintain!!!! We would use this product again without a doubt and the price is great! Truly satisfied

I put this in my office. My wife chose the style and color because I would have been happy with any hardwood floor. I installed it myself. The first hardwood floor enstallation I have ever attempted. A lot of fun work and very enjoyable after the project was completed.

We installed this floor in our family room and what a difference it has made in the appearance of the room! Its so warm and welcoming! It was easy to install with a little preplanning of the layout and we had minimal waste of the product. It is GORGEOUS!

I used a professional to install the flooring, since a large percentage was used for stairs. I felt that i should use a professional in this case. FYI The Stair Nose was the Most Expensive part of the project.

We purchased this flooring over the phone in Peoria Illinois. [...] We had professionals install the flooring. They were amazed with the quality for the price. It was the best decision we made in our kitchen remodel. Such a beautiful floor/ changes the whole look of the home. We will definitely purchase this again when we replace our carpet in our living room and hall ways. It also feels great under foot, not cold or too hard.

I had this floor installed in my new home and have been VERY pleased with it. I have gotten wonderful comments on it and I love the look of the handscraping. I want to put it in my bedroom as soon as I get the chance. I have two boxers and a three year old, so far no scratches. I have one plank where the edge splintered off, but the movers may have caused that damage. The only possible negative thing about this floor is that the smaller pieces are a narrower width so the joints don't butt up as tightly for those pieces. I am not sure if that is to make it more rustic or not. All in all, I am very happy with this product.

This floor looks amazing and was worth every penny! My husband installed the floor (in the Cambridge Oak finish) to our great room, dining room, kitchen, and master bedroom (about 1400 sft.) over 21/2 weekends. The floor was a nice upgrade compared to our previous carpet and laminate floors. We also upgraded with the high base board mouldings. We have two young boys, 2 and 4 and a Golden Retriever who have already put nicks/scratches here and there but you really don't see them because of the grain and handscrapped nature of the floors. They also feel so solid when you walk on them. Would definately recommend these floors to others, it will be worth your time and money!

I have installed floors previously. This one went in a 220 year old home. It installed extremely easily and there was probably less than 2% waste. Only one board had a small split that I easily cut off to make the rest useable. I am very well pleased with the product and the quality

Bought the Old World Oak to instal in my new family room. Love it! Installed myself. No issues. Great product. Grat price. Great service. What more can you ask for??? I am looking now for somewhere to put MORE wood in my home......LOL.

We love these floors! My husband installed them himself having never intstalled hardwoods before. Took us a few weekends, but had to work around our 2 yr old. We put about 500sf in our great room and hallways (we decided to put tile in our kitchen and dining room and am so glad we did! Tile is just so durable for the constant moving of chairs in and out, the food dropping, and not to mention just changed up/lightened up the area with all our dark wood furniture). But these wood floors are so beautiful & kid/husband friendly! It was my husband who first tested that theory....he got a staple stuck in his shoe while installing the floors and put multiple scratches in the floors! At first I was so upset. Then my husband showed me the beauty of these floors. Because of the natural grain patterns, knots, and grooves in the floor he was able to just take a furniture stain marker and fill in the scratches! Unlike smooth finished hardwoods, you can't even see where the scratches were now! I was amazed and knew we chose the right floors for our young, active family.

We installed this flooring throughout a new home that we were building (specifically, the builder installed this flooring). It is a dramatic, beautiful flooring that is extremely scratch resistant. We have an active Lab who scratched our pre-finished floors quite a bit in our last home. There is not one scratch from him on these floors (after 2 years).

We installed this floor ourselves in our living room. It took some time because we put it in diagonally but it was definately worth the extra work. Our expectations were surpassed by far. We always had carpeting and was worried on how we would like a wood floor in our living room but there are no regrets. We are now considering doing our kitchen....Thanks for all your help. I have never been a fan of the prefinished products, but after a customer spec'd this floor, I will use it again in future products in the very near future.

Love it! We put in 1200sq ft in Dec 06 and are now looking at putting throughout the rest of home. I keep hoping for a sale! :) But I highly recommend this flooring.
