great flooring!! had friend help install(he has done other flooring for a store he worked for) and he was leary about flooring that was priced so reasonable but after getting started he was amazed with quality and fit. Would like to put in more soon.

As soon as we saw this product on the display wall, we knew we couldn't wait to begin the installation project. It took one casual do-it-yourselfer and one novice two days for a total of 14 hours to install 200 square feet without a hitch. We are all very happy with the outcome.

I purchase this product in Cincinnati,OH my wife and I did the install. We removed laminate flooring and replace with this product. This product install much easier then laminate flooring. We nailed down this product. The floor replaced carpet also, and the house looks much cleaner with a lot less dust from the carpet. The pricing was much less then the big box stores. [...]

We installed this floor about 6 months ago.We bought it for color and durability. It is fantastic and hard as a rock. It is so easy to clean. I use a dry mop and a swiffer wet jet and it looks brand new week after week. I let my daughter paint with tempera paint, squish play-doh on it, use glue sticks, markers, etc. It comes right off.We have gotten sand stuck under the felt pads on dining chairs which caused little white scratches. I used a brown washable crayola marker, colored the scratch then wiped it with a wet cloth. You'd never know the difference.I also had a pebble stuck under the vacuum and was dragging it behind me which caused a pretty long scratch. You can't even tell.I LOVE THIS FLOOR! The only down side I have found could be beacuse of our floor plan. We have an area 40' long with the wood running lengthwise. In the right light the groves have a little bit of a fake look to them, but it is such a long area and it's a traffic area without furniture to break it up. If you have the choice I would install it widthwise whichever way you will be looking at it most. Many people have complimented us on it.

We had someone install it for us, but as far as the product--we love the look of it. There was a small piece that chipped off of it but due to the rusticness of the materials itself, it looks like it belongs. We just need to stain and varnish that small part to match. We looked at lots and lots of materials before settling on this one. It was the right width, color and look that we were searching for and at half the price.

This was my first install on hardwood, and I have to say it was pretty easy. When you are installing the first couple of rows it can be time consuming because of the hand nailing required...but the rest goes really quickly. If you plan on installing by yourself, consider recruiting an extra set of hands...it'll go much more quickly. Oh, and I love the floor, it looks great.

My husband is a builder and had put this floor into my son's house with two young boys and a dog. It looks and wears great. We laid over 1000 sf in the new home we are building. There are a lot of 12" and 15" pieces in each box and we ended up with a lot of waste in order to make it look good and keep seams from lining up. It looks great down -- we just have enough left over to do a small room. We had to go back to get a few more boxes in order to finish.

We love the look of this floor. Had used it before in our son's home and his two young boys and a dog have really put it to the test. Our only complaint is that each box is mostly 12, 15 and 18 inch pieces which makes it difficult to install avoiding lining up seams. You end up with a lot of waste. We installed over 1000 SF and had to return for two more boxes. We have enough scrap to do a small room. Would like to see a higher percentage of 48-60 inch planks.

Rent or borrow a power nailer; find someone who has experience puttting down a wood floor and GO. Once we got the first few rows down, it was how fast we could nail. I did over 800 sq.ft. and it looks great--it also keeps the dogs from jumping

We installed over 800 sq. ft. in a kitchen, family room and laundry room. Asked a lot of questions about floor prep from experts and friends. Rented power tools and the job was easy. A few boards with knots near the edges to discard but, overall the installation went smooth.

We followed the flooring directions from the website and rented power nailers (2) to do the job. We covered over 800 sq. ft. in 1 1/2 days time. The floor looks and feels great. The dogs are having some difficulty stopping but that was the point. I would buy this product again.

The floor is very nice and my friends that have seen it love it. Others have commented on having too many short boards. I had no problem with the short boards or with randomly staggering the joints. The short boards reduce waste and the longest boards had to be pulled in more to close the gaps. I have two big dogs that run around chasing each other and the floor is unharmed. Even if the floor becomes damaged a little stain would cover it up and be completely unnoticeable given the color, texture and variations.

Extremely pleased with the quality of the product. I have installed other products and this product was a plasure to install. Each box was well packed and the boards very predictable. While there were a number of short boards as other reveiws have commented, it was not difficult to establish a very good looking installation. My wife and I are very happy with the results and look forward to many years of enjoyment.

I am very pleased with the flooring I purchased. It looks great! My installer said that it was good wood! I have had it down for about 3 weeks now and it seems to be pretty durable. I have two dogs and a 7 year old rough and tumble kid and they have not seemed to make a mark on it yet!! I love the texture of the hand scraping. In fact, I bought more wood to do an additional set of steps in another area of the house.

I used this product to cover the majority of an entire first floor. The color was great and there were very few unusable boards. The floor looks great.
My only complaint is that there were way to many short boards. This did make the layout difficult at times while trying not to have joints to close to each other over several rows.
It was easy to install however with almost no tounge splitting. I would certainly use this product again.

We put the floor in the living room and dining room and it looks great. Not that hard to put down and we had very little waste. The only down fall was that there were a lot of small boards but if you take your time and think about where to place them you can have a great looking floor

I love the way this wood looks on the floor, the finish is like satin, easy to clean with vacuum, but because of the indentions in the wood, I haven't found a mop that is satisfactory. The one I have does not get down in the indentions. Overall I think it is a great product.
