easy to install
I have never installed a floor before, but this went in super easily. Make sure you rent a nail gun with the rubber mallet, and an air-compressor. The patterns in this wood are amazing and it is the best looking hardwoods I have seen.Make sure you sort the pieces to the color variations that you desire. I just installed it a few days ago, so I can not comment on the durability yet. I will post again after I have had it a few months. My friends and family are amazed at the beauty of the floor. I put it in the living room and kitchen. I have read on some of the comments on here that it splits easily when installing, but I did not have any issues. I did not find the wood brittle like some say it is.
I had this flooring installed in my kitchen and dining room two weeks ago. It turned out beautiful! I love the color and the "country" look it brings to my home. It matches my decor perfectly. I ordered my flooring online and had them deliver directly to the warehouse (which by the way only took two business days). I went to the warehouse/showroom and the gentlemen behind the counter was very knowledgable about the flooring and gave me some pointers about storing the flooring (before install) and info about the install. I am over all VERY pleased with my purchase and I will definitely purchase from Lumber Liquidators again!
Applied this product to the wall as a wanescot. Quite labor intensive, but looks great/ Have had numerous comments about how nice it looks.
We LOVE our new floor!
It's SO pretty!
Exactly the look I was going for!
Rustic, durable & original!
Thanks also for your help in store...
The best is that this wood looks great and the price beat every other retail store by $6.00 or more /ft2. We still can't beleive how good the floor looks.

We love this floor. The warmth and character of the color variation matches wonderfully with any decor. We have it in our great room, living room, dining room and study/den. Earlier installations have "aged" very well. Incredibly durable. During installation, an occassional fracture will appear in the finish due to the flexing of the wood, but that does not seem to effect the floors performance. We installed the great room & den in '06 and just installed another 430 feet 8/08. We experienced very little waste or "bad material".

Beautiful product. Sales reps were very helpful, but didn't provide a gage for durability or strength of the product. This is a tricky floor to install. We waisted almost an entire box on split ends and "pop ups" from nails. The natural strength of Austrailian Cyprus isn't as durable as the oak, ect. Finished floor is AMAZINGLY beautiful. I wouldn't recommend this material for living rooms, kitchens, foyers, or halls. Best suited for bedrooms and low traffic areas. I believe the product will last, just concerned about the durability of the WOOD, not how it is finished.
I recommend obtaining an installer that has actually installed Austrailian Cyprus. It may be worth the savings in waisted material. My installer had never worked with this material.
The floor came out so beautiful we are doing the whole house now! A great value - everyone comments on how beautiful it is! I have three dogs (one is 100 lbs) and so far no scratches or marks! Easy to clean - appears to be very durable!

We love the look of the wood and I was drawn by the thought of something very stable. I was a bit put off by the very brittle nature of the wood. Cracking or splitting on the tongue was very common during the install, as in just about every board. After the first 20 boxes I pretty much knew to avoid any spots with variations in color as they seemed really sensitive. I used a Porter Cable FCN200 for most of the installation but it died with about 50 sq ft left to complete so I finished with a Portanailer I've had for years. Both had the splitting problem and a friend had some installed by a professional using staples and had the same problem. This also makes installation of the following board difficult since it does not like going over a crack. Don't even consider giving it a good thump, it will split down the middle if there is a flaw anywhere in it. I also found a few boards in each box unusable due to cracks, splits or flaws. We also installed some Brazilian Walnut, Brazilian Cherry, Maple and Oak (unfinished) and had absolutely no problems with nailing. We still love the look, just be aware of the brittle nature of this wood.
First attempt at installing a wood floor. Everything we really needed to know was on the Bellawood website. It's humid here and this wood is very stable in this climate. Boards were straight and fit tight. Very few boards had any defects, and we were a to cut those boards with and use them on the ends. I can't really comment on the scratch resitance since it was just installed a couple weeks ago, but our sharp clawed dog that runs around like her tail is on fire has make no noticable scratches.

We installed this in our dining room and family room. It is beautiful and blends with our oak woodwork. It is unusual wood and that is why we love it.

Our biggest disappointment was that [...] the shortest length would be 2 feet. We had a lot of pieces in 12', 18" and 21" length, making for a harder installation and more waste. We would reccomend it, if the person either has a professional or has some kind of construction background. It's not for amatuers.

This product is so easy to install and really adds charcter to a room in a hurry. Easy to clean and a beautiful finish. I installed this flooring in my living room in one day and it looks great. Lots of long boards! Not like many other companies who put alot of short boards in their boxes. On a scale of 1-10 I'd give this flooring a 10.

The product is throughout our living area, other than entry and kitchen, and bathrooms. It's easy to clean, always looks good, we've had a ton of compliments about the floor. Our installer said he had no complaints about working with the material. We do feel however that a heavier coat of clear or poly could have been applied!

This was the very first hardwood floor my wife and I put down. It went great. It looks fantastic. Brightens up the room and adds instant value to th e home. We did our hallway (runs the length of the house) and our dining room. Next will be our upstairs hallway. As far as being "scratch resistant" ours does get scratched but then we have a 100 lb Aikita who should have his nails clipped more often. But like they say "Scratch hardwood and you give it character...scratch laminate and you ruin the look.

Our builder placed this in the downstairs main living areas. We wish we had it in the kitchen and master bedroom, too. It fits the rustic, Adirondack feel of our home.
Too bad he didn't install it properly, though; we have lots of warping. Some has already been replaced and more needs it now.
Hire a real pro to install it properly.

Wood is prone to wrapping only if installed on a rainy day and you have a window up, this is deffiently a no no. When someone comes into my home the hardwood floor is the first thing that is noticed. I used the 3/4" x 3 1/4" pre-finished "beautiful wood". If you used the next size up you will loose the beautiful color variations. The A Cypress you will find that there are no pices the same color which gives the floor charater. I love the wood and will put it in my next home. Easy to clean and keep that beautiful shine. Very durable hard wood. I would reconmend this species to everyone.
