We just finished the floor 2 weeks ago, and we love it. When we got the boxes home and I opened the first couple of boxes, I thought a mistake had been made in the order. The display was a consistent, beautiful, cherry finish, but my boards have a dramatic lot of variation in colors. What a wonderful surprise for me. And a much better application for the rooms where the floor has been installed. But buyers need to be aware of the variation in colors when deciding to purchase.Having said all that, I would give the Brazilian Koa a 10/10 [...]
We did not install the floors ourselves but had it professionally done. I'm glad we did. The floors + installation were expensive, but I am super happy with the way they look. Very warm, very rich - absolutely beautiful.
We installed this product in our living room and it was absolutely beautiful. When we sold our house in a tough market the buyer bought the house because he fell in love with the flooring.

The product is great!! I had a contractor install if for me. I also had him add several additional hi gloss coats of sealant in order to protect it from any water damage. It has a wonderful hi gloss shine
I have a gypcrete subfloor so I used a glue down application in my unit.
I used the Brazilian Koa 3/8" x 3" and I would highly recommend it to everyone.
Thanks!
we highly reccomend this flooring. all who see it are impressed with the beauty and quality!
our installers loved it, they found it a high quality, easy to install floor. two of the workers wanted to know where we bought the wood so they could install in their own home.
thanks again to lumber liquidators for great product and service!

When we picked up the flooring, [...]. It appeared as though this lot was of second rate materials. The boxes contained different thicknesses indicating improper milling. Installation would have caused an uneven floor so we returned the wood and purchased our floor elsewhere.

Wonderful from start to finish.
The floors have only been in for a few days, but I absolutely LOVE them - - they are GORGEOUS.
Don't know about wearability and such.
I had this floor professionally installed. They did a great job, and the floors are exquisite! The color play going through the floors makes it gorgeous and I can't even begin to describe the difference it makes in the appearance of my home! Absolutely drop dead gorgeous!

I was unable to install myself but I am absolutely pleased with the outcome. It's elegant look can not be duplicated so I'm very happy with my choice. Now I have a friend that want the same kind in her family room.
Looks great in varying light conditions. Lots of colors and character

It was my first time every putting in hardwood floors but even I was pleasantly surprised with them. I would suggest the extra money spent on the Bellawood is well worth it. My friend put down some 3/8 flooring the prior week and had trouble with the tongue splitting when they hit it with the mallet. I did not experience this problem at all. I did an 18 x 18 bedroom and only had to remove one piece because I hit with my hammer when trying to nail down a staple in my black paper. Other than that, it went great and I can't say enough about the look of the KOA finish.

Installation
This is the most beautiful floor installed. The color will fit most any decor. The only negative comment I have is that the floor does scratch easily. While keeping a watchful eye on the installers, there were many boards I asked them to remove due to the scratching while stapling the boards in place. On the positive side, there is very little waste with this product so those boards could be discarded to have a beautifully finished room upon completion of the install.
This product went down easily and looks really good. It will darken with age and that is something I am looking forward to. The only bad issue is that I had to use only 6-8 pieces out of a complete box to finish. Could not buy seperate pieces. Now I have an almost full box that I don't know what to do with.
This was our first time installing hardwood and I
was very surprised to find how easy it went in.
We LOVE the results and the floors look very cool.
I plan to continue this floor upstairs.
Our tips: Take your time picking the wood pieces
BEFORE starting to staple down. We found the thicker wood the best to work with. We have two dogs and the floor has received some scratches so we file down their nails instead of clipping them and that seems to have stopped the scratches.
The product looks fantastic, even better than at the showroom. The only thing that I can complain about is that 1 week after I paid for my floor, it went on sale. It seems that happens a lot to me. The sales people were great and very helpful, if I ever do this again, you have my business. I wish I had a picture to add here.

I really like the flooring but there was so much variation of color in the product that the installers had to use more than was originally measured. Because of this problem, I do not have any spare boards to use if problem arises. i.e. scratches. During installation there were scratches that most could be fixed but 1 remains. One board had to be replaced because the scratch was so bad!
Beautiful flooring. Bedroom's look so much more elegant. I would recommend the thicker wood than the 3/8". Some cracking while floor being stapled, but nothing you can notice once it's all installed.
Client loves the finished product! Added extra room after seeing installation.
If you can afford to, at least get the 1/2 inch or larger. The 3/8 was a little more difficult to install...and if ripping out any old hardwoods, get the same size or larger in order to prevent re-installing door trim.
not as scratch resistant as I had hoped for.
Overall, the product looks great and I am very pleased

LOVE THIS WOOD; I WOULD ONLY SAY IF YOU CAN AFFORD THE 3/4 INCH GO WITH THAT; ONLY BECAUSE THE STAPLER WOULD CRACK THE TOUNG ON THE 3/8 BUT STILL LOVE THE LOOK.

This product is awesome. I stapled down about 750 square feet. I found it cheaper to buy the stapler rather than rent one, since it took me about a week to finish the install (working only in the evening.) Installation was easy, but tedious. Don't get in a hurry, and anyone can do it.

This is beautiful wood. There was very little waste, we installed over 600 sf and only had a couple of boards we couldn't use. It looks great and everyone loves it. Thanks for a great product.

I ordered this product [...] and the sample did not represent all the color variations of the wood. Honestly, at first I was quite upset when I opened the box. After I calmed down, I sorted the flooring into about four color groupings. We installed the flooring by keeping the same color in each row and alternating colors row by row. By doing this the floor does not have a patchwork effect. Yes, it did take longer to install, however, the floor is gorgeous! I have no regrets, I could not have made a better choice.

Was very easy to install and went faster than I thought. Boards fit together with ease. We installed the 3/8's with cleats which was a snap with air nailer.
