This flooring is beautiful. We installed throughout our entire first floor(minus the bathroom) and it has completly transformed our home. We were looking for an exotic species with lots of color and character. That's exactly what we got and the variation in color is what we ended up loving the most. We have received many compliments and would not hesitate to recommend this flooring.

I consider myself pretty capable with this type of work, but I believe most could do this install. It can be a little labor intensive, but it's worth it. If I was to give any advice it's this...knee pads are a must and preparation is key. Making sure you have a solid, level subfloor will make your life so much easier when actually installing the flooring. If you skip that step you might regret it.

I did not check the durable box as we only installed it about 2 months ago. As for scratching...I don't care what the hardness rating is or what someone tells you....ALL wood flooring scratches. Pets add to the problem of course. We have some scratching from our 90 lb. dog, but it doesn't take away from the beauty of the flooring as a whole. Bottom line, don't let this stop you from choosing a species of flooring you really like because it will happen with any choice you make.

We love the flooring, the install is pretty straight forward and the end result is a beautiful transformation. We definitely recommend this product.

Fabulous looking warm wood floor, not too dark but handsome. Disadvantage as with most wood floors is can scratch with furniture moving and heels mark floor with every step. But just consider the marks to add character. Everyone raves about the floor and we love it. Even though the boards are narrow, it makes a really fabulous looking floor for a phenomenal price. [...]

I am an interior designer and I have use Lumber Liquidators over and over again. My clients love the ease of purchase and my installers love the product. Don't do it yourself if you never do it, glue is easy to mess everything up. Worst scratch resistance. My sons toys (even small little hand car toy) have marked all over the floor. Other than that, everything looks great. I really love its pre-finished. It looks shine and clean. In addition, on any solid wood, I should have rather chosen 3/4" or thicker than 3/8" for its durable.

The elimination of linolium in the Kitchen, Carpet in the family room and Den and tile in the entry makes the Rooms appear larger and gives a fresh clean appearance to all areas.

My mesquite is now the most beautiful floor in the house. I didn't find the install any more difficult than any other hardwood would be (btw: I'm a 45 y/o woman.) As per the Bellawood instructions, I installed over a floating floor over concrete using a rented floor nailer. Sure, my back hurt after doing both in a 4 day period on nearly 400 sq feet, but still worth it! I love all the different colors and the sound and the feel!

I love my Bellawood Brazilian Mesquite. I got the 3/8x3in select and installed with help of dad 1 yr ago this month. Well over 300 sq ft installed as well as stair nosing, reducer, threshold pieces, stair treads and risers. I had maybe 2 boards total out of numerous boxes that I decided to cut a section off based on either finish or production defects, which I expected that many per box going into the job. Even those pieces were usable, just had to take a bit off the board and fit elsewhere. The 3/8 thickness does seem sensitive to moisture prone areas as I felt some boards trying to curl up on seams a bit after they got some water on them which I doubt a 3/4 inch thick board would do. The ones that curled a bit straightened back out over a few weeks. Finish is super tough. Various things have gotten on it that I swore would never come off or would dull shine and so far nothing has affected it. Only thing I have noticed was this wood seems a bit soft and got a lot of little divots from dining room chair legs digging in. Had to get larger area carpet under table that extended to where legs go since pads under legs wouldn't stay in place. We get compliments on this wood floor from every person that sees it. Tip-if they are out of stock on trim or stair parts use Brazilian Cherry-great match. I waited months for stair risers and they had Braz. Cherry in stock and was cheaper too.

Absolutely beautiful product. Glue down install was easy once you get used to the adhesive (very messy-have mineral spirits handy and clean as you go)however, extremely disappointed in the sctratch resistance. We have a 50 lb. dog and her nails scratch easily despite cut and filing immediately prior to install. Purchased product in part because of the wear claim and formualted top coat. Would not recommend to those with medium to large dogs.

Absolutely gorgeous flooring. I purchased the 3/8 X 3 Brazilian Mesquite. Not only is it sturdy, but very easy to work with. The color differences are amazing. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this flooring to anyone.
