Love the smell while cutting & routing smells like chocolate.
Only problem was finishing nails used at wall ends and corners poped the finish more then just the head. Penicil eraser size.

Although I have installed floating floors in the past, this was my first attempt at installing a glue-down wood floor. This was, by far, the most difficult project I have tackled to date. I allowed myself 7 days to install the floor in my living room, hallway, and half the kitchen, approximately 400 square feet. This installation included moving all furniture, removing carpet and vinyl flooring, and applying the Bostik moisture barrier. The floors did turn out beautifully, however, I found them very difficult to install. The longer boards tended to be slightly warped and caused gaps in the floor even though I did tape them down as the instructions indicated. I will just have to fill those in with putty. I started to use the long boards for cuts, thus reducing the warping effect. The glue was extremely messy but once you get the hang of it, it does become easier. I would suggest investing in boxes of inexpensive latex gloves and change them every few rows. This really helped me. Make sure to get as much glue off the floor surface as possible within 24 hours of installation. The Bostik adehesive remover works well. In my opinion, the Bellawood floor cleaner is pretty much worthless for cleaning this floor. It leaves a film and makes the smudges much more visable. I'm a clean freak and found the smudges (caused by body oil, can't avoid them) absolutely unbearable. I couldn't find anything to remove the haze and called the Bellawood 800 number. They suggested a tiny amount of Dawn dishwashing liquid in water. Wipe down the floor with a well rung out cloth and dry the with a separtate cloth. Dawn is a degreaser and worked like a charm. Great tip! I did accomplish my task and now must wait for my body and hands to recover to finish the kitchen and move on to the bedroom. Beautiful floor though. By the way, I'm a 44 year old woman. If I can do it, anyone can.

If you are installing on a slab, make sure the floor is well leveled. Use all the products LL recommends. It is very attractive and worths the money.

We had a professionl install our bedroom floor. He first put down the Bostick Moisture Barrier, which took 2 days to dry sufficiently(even with our dry AZ weather). He used Bostik Best Adhesive and installed, along with a parnter, our large 500 sq ft. bedroom/closets in one day. He said he had no problems & very little waste(we have more than 1/2 a box left over and we only had 517 sq ft. to start. He said it was easy to work with and would recommend it to others with an over-concrete install.

I put this flooring down in my kitchen. First time I have ever installed flooring and I must say it's fairly easy. I took my time and used the right equipment. Even though the wood is very hard, the trim ends cut easily with my 12" miter saw and a good 80 tooth finishing blade. I found the stapling easy once I got the hang of it. The wood groove can split with too much pressure and after adjusting the settings on the air compressor, 75-80 lbs was just right to drive the staples and do a great job. Anything less than that, the staples did not drive in far enough.
The Brazilian Walnut is beautiful flooring and I can't imagine a more interesting wood floor. Every plank has its own unique characteristics that add to the stunning appearance. Great flooring and great price!

I have this in a pantry and half bath and have no complaints. It took me about 1.5 hrs to install 45 sq. ft. so not bad!

This floor is beautiful. Looks very rich and it goes with just about everything. The only problem I have is cleaning it. I have tried all different products and it seems to show smudges no matter what I use. If anyone has any ideas I would love to hear from you.

The Brazilian Walnut and all of its color variation brings incredible warmth to the family room. It is extremely durable and easy to clean. I can't imagine any other product that would look any better. My only complaint is that I may have gotten the tail end of the available product as all boxes were opened and there was some bad pieces. Consequently I needed about 10 more boards to finish the job and had to rush back in the middle of the job to get one more box. The last box was in the same condition as the first five however the manager did discount the last box because it was open and a bit disorganized. If I had realized I might need one more box I would have culled out a few maginal pieces earlier. Nonetheless, the floor came out great!

I had my brother install this in my living room and dining room, and now I'm buying more for a hallway and bedroom. The floor is absolutely beautiful, everyone who sees it oohs and aahs over it and the colors are gorgeous. And what a fantastic price. Recommendation: Use the Bostik glue from LL--ran out midproject, used another glue from a local outfit, and it was awful--had to tear up some flooring as a result and do it over!
