Product gives a rustic, country finish because of knots and color variation. Be ready to toss more than the 5% "waste" if you don't want to see them. Lumber planks were randomly a bit more narrow at one end, resulting is little gaps that in my experience would be entry points for water during cleaning with wet mops. Also the end gaps where butted together were a little wider than the sides. However, overall, it looks just fantastic, went in quick with no smelly paints at finish. Instant gratification. I wouldn't recommend for kitchen or entry where water penetration could damage. Not sure yet how the finish will hold up. I read the 25 year guarantee carefully and it really isn't worth much. However, the total cost was probably only 30% of regular hardwood. Bella Wood is "made in China".

We put this in our kitchen. The color is warm and dark enough that dirt doesn't automatically show but not too dark as to make the room feel closed. We love the width (3+ 1/4 in.) but you can get that in any wood product. We bought the select which we thought would have a minimum amount of knots but there were a lot. Even our carpenter mentioned the amount of knots. For the price I guess we should've expected knots but the word "select" on the description made us think it would be more uniform. It's been installed and doing it's job with pets and a toddler for a month now and only a few scratches...nothing that has gone through the finish though. All in all we are thrilled we didn't have to spend a fortune for oak and love the feel of wood on our feet.

We used this in a long narrow living room, that we were converting to a dining area. The wider width planks helped. We then added it to an upstairs hallway (we have a split colonial), that is visible from the dining area. Once again the wider width helps with the look.

We installed this product on our own and were quite pleased with the finished product. There were a few pieces with some minor blemishes, however we planned on that and ordered extra for overage. Overall we are quite pleased with the product and the the [...] we received from our local store. We would highly reccommend Lumber Liquidators to our friends and family.
