Comments about 3/4" x 2-1/4" Utility Maple Flooring:

We ordered 30% overage for or 600 square foot family room. We only had about a 5-10% waste factor. We chose to use alot of boards that added character to the flooring. This is a big project installing and finishing the flooring yourself. We will be installing the extra flooring in an entrance way and possibly a new kitchen table. The only complaint I have is maple is a very hard wood to sand. It would have been helpful if the tool rental store would have been more knowledgeable.

Comments about 3/4" x 2-1/4" Utility Maple Flooring:

This was the third room we replaced flooring in- a bedroom. As we are preparing the house for sale, price was critical. The boards were short, and every single piece had to be cut to square the ends and mate them to the next board. The wood is so hard that sanding was difficult, and we didn't get it completely flat. There were many knot holes, but the grain was so gorgeous, it is hard to care! I'll fill the big holes with beeswax now that the tung oil finish has cured. Despite the extra time and effort, it was well worth it for the savings and the durability and beauty of the floor.

I glued this to 3/4 plywood and edged to make a 38"X 60" bar top for 1/4 of the cost of solid butcher block, whitch you can't tell it's not. Future projects include a desk top and maybe kitchen counter top.

I put the maple flooring through out my entire house. It took some work sorting through the wood but it was certainly worth it. I could have paid more for select cut but I wouldn't have been albe to put it in my entire house. It was worth the time and effort.

This was the first time doing business with you and my first hardwood floor. I guess I expected Maple to be all blonde in color but there was a lot of dark grain. It is an attractive floor and went down pretty easy. I wish your representative would have suggested the trim and transitions I needed. I could not find any exact matches in my area. I estimate about 10-20% was unsable in our living room but can be used somewhere more utility in nature. Overall I'm pretty satisfied and would by from you again. Just more knowledgeable now.

Comments about 3/4" x 2-1/4" Utility Maple Flooring:

I bought 4 bundles / ~75 sq ft to replace water damaged boards on a warehouse floor. The random lengths actually worked to my advantage, because it was easy to puzzle them together to fit in varying spaces without resorting to cutoffs. For the price, this flooring is good very good value. If you factor in purchasing the typical 10 percent overage to accommodate waste, you won't be disappointed (I was able to use almost every board, there were just a few questionable pieces which I cut up to use as fillets). I was happy with the purchase for sure.
