This was inexpensive and rather nice looking. It gives our living room a "Lived In" Look. The only issue I had was there was a TON of scrap pieces.

Be prepared to buy extra and alot of it.

I bought Rustic oak and Rustic american cherry both look absolutely awesome make sure you know what it looks like installed before you buy it be careful when installing because you get a lot of random species mixed in that you have to pic out when installing it I recommend not being to picky with knots because they look great in the finished product.[...]

This flooring looks amazing and turned out way better then I expected. The contractor that installed it did not seem to have any problems doing so. I did the finishing myself and it turned out beautifully. I sanded it myself with a hand sander, stained it with Minwax (Cherry) and finished it off with two coats of poly. Its a one of a kind floor that can't be matched and I plan to do several more room in the house. I used timber mate putty to fill the open knots then colored them in with the furniture touch-up markers that came in three different tones so now you do not even know there was ever any open knots.

We did not stain the floor, we just eurothaned it. It looks beautiful, but there was a lot of wasted boards. I actually had to re-order to finish the job. Lots of filler to get it smooth, but WOW do we love the way it looks!!!

Comments about 3/4" x 3 1/4" Utility Oak Flooring:

This may be the best deal in flooring I have ever come across. I laid this floor in my workshop because I was looking for a cheap, durable, solid surface that would take the abuse of various cabinet and other carpentry projects. I also wanted something that saw dust, glue, and paint/finish stains would clean off of easily. I own several free standing power tools including a table saw, miter saw, jointer/planer, belt sander, and scroll saw; this floor stands up to the use of these tools, without becoming loose or creaking which is sometimes assosiated with wood floors.

I finished the floor using a traditional linseed oil and wax finish. The linseed oil readily penetrated into the wood and brought out a golden oak hue, beautiful!

One warning: I am a professional Union Carpenter, I own a lot of carpenter's tools and power tools that made this job go smoothly. This product will come in different widths which must be lined up properly. You will run into boards that are warped and need special persuasion to fit correctly. I did cut out several knots and unusable sections of board and then re-cut the tongue and groove end joints. I hand nailed about 25% of the floor so that things would come out right. I used a flooring gun for the rest of the floor.

My only regret with this floor is that i did not buy enough to do my entire home. My "workshop" floor has become my favorite floor in the entire house.

Comments about 3/4" x 3 1/4" Utility Oak Flooring:

I used this product for my entire house. It took a little longer to install than the more expensive and higher grade flooring, but it looks great. I used a tung oil finish, so scratches come out easily with a little tung oil and steel wool. There was quite a bit of waste, so you will need to add 20% to 30% to your order. Also, work out of several bundles at a time to avoid having different sizes dominating sections of the floor.

Comments about 3/4" x 3 1/4" Utility Oak Flooring:

I like it so well, I bought enough to finish my living room floor in the same product. Even with sanding(renting a sander) and 3-4 coats of polyurethane, it is less expensive than carpet. It is great for people with allergies. It is SO EASY to maintain.

This flooring looked really rough and ugly coming out of the bundles. I was greatly surprised be how straight every piece was, none were warped except one. It installed easily. Once I got a good stain on it, it actually looks fantastic. Most importantly, it was a great value.

We bought about 2X the materials needed, which was about right (half discards). Lovingly installed, filled, sanded. The results were really beautiful. We wanted an "old fashioned" floor, and it looks rich and ancient!

Comments about 3/4" x 3 1/4" Utility Oak Flooring:

This flooring is a fantastic value. It is beautiful when properly fitted and finished. The grain and color are reminiscent of hickory flooring. The solid 3/4" with three coats of poly is like steel...remember old ironsides? Took me five days to install, sand and finish 350 sq.ft., I am an experienced carpenter but not a flooring pro. Couldn't be happier.

Comments about 3/4" x 3 1/4" Utility Oak Flooring:

We purchased this product for a small room in our house. The idea was to try it out and see how it looked. Since it was utility grade and cheap, we were willing to try a small area. We were very pleased! We will be doing the entire house with this product. I would only remind someone that you must be aware of what you are getting. We were looking for a real wood finish which would look authentic and old, so we were o.k. with the flaws which give the floor more character. We filled the holes with dark stained wood filler. Everyone who has seen the floor cannot believe how good it looks.

This doesn't look like much in the bundle, but installed it is beautiful, if you are willing to take the time to do it right. We were looking for a floor that looked "worn" right after installation, and this looks fabulous!
