Very little waste. Great looking floor and the best past was the price; One-third the price I was quoted everywhere else.

Comments about R.L. Colston 3/4" x 3 1/4" Red Oak Flooring:

I was renovating a 100 year old home. I did not want to use clear grade wood. I installed this over pine subfloor, hand sanded to leave some rustic effects, stained one coat Minwax Golden Oak, and applied 2 coats of Minwax fast-drying poly gloss. It's amazing how much the hardwood adds to a house. I did mine for about for about $1100 including the purchase of a floor nailer. Outstanding.

Comments about R.L. Colston 3/4" x 3 1/4" Red Oak Flooring:

I live out in the country and the rustic look was just what I was looking for. The wood finished beautifully, was very easy to install and although it was the rustic grade, 99% was usable. To use this type of wood a person has to be willing to do a little extra work - there were a few knots that needed to be filled so a high heel won't get stuck, but overall I would say a great deal for the price.

Comments about R.L. Colston 3/4" x 3 1/4" Red Oak Flooring:

The dealer suggested over ordering to account for waste. I returned 3/4 of the over order finding very little waste. I elected not to sand the floor for a more rustic look and coated it with a MinWax penetrating sealer. I have had lots of compliments and have a very nice and inexpensive floor that will last a lifetime.
