I put this product in our bedroom and hall. Looks great, but took a good deal of prep time. With careful planning we got a +95% use of all the boards. Each board needed a light sanding before putting the finish on due to small splinters or 'glazing' due to being bundled for a while. I pre-finished each board with 1 coat of lacquer and sanded with 360 grit before installing. I glued every 3rd board to help reduce the expansion. Fit was very good with very few 'open' seams over the 18'x18' area. The variation in color adds to the appearance of the floor. I applied 3 additional coats of min-wax floor poly and have a great shine and a great looking floor. I also glued 2 boards together, ripped off with a table saw each edge and used the flooring for base board.
The folks at the store were very helpful. Only down side was in the shipment I received about 1/3 of #2 grade vice #1 grade and the clerks had not inspected the order prior to my pick-up. However they immediately called in the replacement order and it was received in less than a week.

great match to the original floors in this 30's home. refinish brought these floors up to look almost identical! thanks for the great product!
