Customer Transformations: April 4 – 8

It’s Monday, and you know what that means! It’s time for us to reveal some of the most exciting Before & After submissions from people across the country. We had a tough time choosing just five homes to feature, but we think you’ll agree that these four new floors – and one new countertop! – dramatically transform these readers’ favorite spaces! If you want to see all the submissions, head over to our site – but first, keep reading to see the top five.

Kathy Bica – Ravenna, OH

The dated floor in Kathy’s kitchen wasn’t exactly wow-worthy. But our Weather Beaten Country Oak laminate proved the necessary ingredient for a high-style space. With its dramatic color variations and rich texture, the surface melds rustic charm and top-of-the-line sophistication. Thanks to the clean-lined cabinets and natural-looking distressed floor, the upgraded kitchen bubbles with personality. “Love the new flooring. I will be back when we are ready to do the dining room,” Kathy writes. We sure hope so, Kathy; thanks for sharing your fabulous transformation!

Jeff Lapsker – New Lenox, IL

Jeff takes his home improvement projects seriously: He installed our Summer Island Teak Click Resilient vinyl flooring throughout his entire 3,000-square-foot house! In the living room, the teak-inspired vinyl sets a sophisticated scene thanks to its deep, rich colorations and realistic texture. The floor blends beautifully with the gracious furnishings and fabrics – and Jeff said the low-maintenance surface is ideal for a home with little dogs underfoot. “Best floor ever,” he wrote. “We love it.” So do we, Jeff; nicely done!

Dayton Waite – Orem, UT

There’s nothing quite like looking down to see cracked tile in the kitchen. After picking up the pieces, Dayton made a smart decision: He decided to install our Tobacco Road Acacia Prefinished Distressed engineered hardwood. Featuring an eye-catching rippled appearance and a range of vivid colors, the hardwood lends natural beauty and timeless style in equal measure. “When we started putting the new wood floor down, it was easy and looked amazing,” Dayton wrote. “Thanks for helping to make our kitchen new again.” Thank you, Dayton; we love your kitchen makeover!

Lea Kingsbury – Colorado Springs, CO

Choosing the right countertop for your needs and style is vital to getting the most out of your kitchen. Lea replaced her kitchen countertops with our Williamsburg Butcher Block Co. American Walnut countertop – and the transformation is dramatic! The perfect blend of beauty and function, the dark, rich surface injects sophistication and natural beauty. The fine grains ensure that it’s smooth and easy to clean. We love the new look, Lea; thanks for sharing your photo!

Debbie Riley – High Point, NC

Debbie wasn’t a fan of the carpet in her living room. “It didn’t reflect light and made the room darker,” she wrote. As a pet owner, she wanted a floor that would be both easy to maintain and fashionable. The solution? Our Madison River Elm laminate. Thanks to its warm honey color and wood-inspired graining, the surface imbues a warm glow and classic appeal. “I absolutely love this flooring, and it totally brightened my living area,” Debbie wrote. We agree, Debbie; nice job!

Thanks to everyone who shared his or her success story with us last week; we always enjoy seeing the transformations in each home. For more inspiration, be sure to check out our Before & After site!
