Wow, Thanksgiving is already upon us! It feels as if we just celebrated Halloween (we totally just did). We hope your bellies will be full and your hearts content after visiting family and friends and stuffing yourself with delicious turkey, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, and – of course – stuffing! Take this time to be thankful for what you have and who you have. At Lumber Liquidators, we’re thankful to have all of you; to show our appreciation, we’re featuring some amazing transformations this week. No matter what type of flooring you choose – whether it’s hardwood, laminate, or vinyl – if you love it, that’s all that matters. Need a little more inspiration? Check out our Before & After site and submit your own project. We look at them all! Happy holidays and happy reading!

Cathy McDonald – Grand Prairie, TX

beforeafter-572

When it comes to laminate, you can’t go wrong with our Dream Home Bull Barn Oak laminate flooring – and neither did Cathy when she installed it in her kitchen. While the previous flooring definitely had character, it seemed stuck in time. Our Bull Barn Oak, however, is timeless and features a textured, distressed appearance with a beautiful rustic feel. Plus, this beautiful flooring is engineered to resist scratches and stains while staying beautiful for years to come. With its V-groove design, high gloss finish, and a preglued attached underlayment, our Bull Barn Oak is incredibly easy to install as well. It clicks together with ease and offers a versatile and affordable alternative to hardwood while still mimicking the natural color, grain, and texture of wood. “Oh my goodness,” Cathy wrote. “This floor color was made for me. I love it.”

We’re so happy to hear that, Cathy; great work!

Jessica Bodach – Fort Myers, FL

beforeafter-571

It was impossible for Jessica to keep her carpet and grout clean with two German Shepherds. So she decided to redo the flooring in her entire house with our Corelux Driftwood Hickory Engineered Vinyl Plank flooring. The previous carpeting was a beautiful shade, but we can imagine the futility when cleaning it. In fact, our EVP’s no-fuss maintenance might be just as attractive as its high-definition design. It combines the durability and water resistance of vinyl with an innovative new substrate plank technology. Due to its waterproof nature, this flooring is the perfect choice for almost any room. And thanks to a urethane top coat or “wear layer,” our Driftwood Hickory provides exceptional scratch resistance, stain resistance, and dent resistance for high-traffic areas, which is incredibly useful for family and pets. “We could not be happier,” Jessica wrote. “It looks amazing, is easy to clean, and holds up to our two very large dogs.”

We couldn’t agree more, Jessica; thanks for sharing!

Tammy Symonds – Santee, CA

beforeafter-570

Tammy installed our Bellawood Matte Carriage House White Natural Ash Prefinished Stained Solid hardwood flooring in her kitchen, and it’s easy to see why this flooring is one of today’s hottest new styles. The planks feature creamy hues of soft tans and grays, which beautifully showcase the knots and marking characteristics of solid ash. The low-gloss, low-maintenance style works particularly well in children’s rooms, kitchens, or anywhere a fresh, clean look is welcomed. And because it’s Bellawood, you’re going to be getting a floor that is two times more scratch-resistant and four times more abrasion-resistant than other brands. The best part is that it is backed by a transferable 100-year warranty. When you choose Bellawood, you are opting for a lifetime of exceptional beauty and quality for your home – and that’s what Tammy did when she chose this flooring.

Thanks for choosing us, Tammy; we love the result!

Suzanne Snyder – White Pigeon, MI

beforeafter-568

You don’t always see a floor made up of two different types of hardwood, but when you do, it’s absolutely stunning! Suzanne takes the cake this week for installing our Bellawood Select Maple Prefinished Solid hardwood flooring and our Bellawood Natural Hickory Prefinished Solid hardwood flooring in the family room. We couldn’t be any more in love with the result! Maple is ideally suited for dining rooms, kids’ rooms, and other areas where fine living meets the demands of everyday life, while hickory is the hardest of all North American woods – meaning it’s perfect for those who want beauty and durability in high-traffic areas. Together, these two are an unstoppable duo when it comes to performance. Aesthetically, maple features warm color ranges from creamy pale white to a light reddish brown. Each plank may even have additional character markings, such as mineral streaks and burls unique to maple. And let’s not forget about hickory, which has colors that run the gamut, from light tans to deep browns with reddish tones interlaced. What Suzanne has is a unique flooring all her own.

We might love it more than you do, Suzanne; bravo!

Marrilee Miles – Rome, GA

beforeafter-569

Marrilee replaced the carpet in the living room, hallway, bedrooms, and closets with our Dream Home Delaware Bay Driftwood laminate flooring, and now we’re ready to move in! This affordable, on-trend flooring, no doubt, adds a little casual charm by featuring light and air creams, tans, browns, and grays. It’s a stylish look that’s reminiscent of timeworn wood. If you’re looking for the weathered appearance of driftwood, you cannot go wrong with our Delaware Bay Driftwood (trust us, it’s in the name). Backed by a 25-year warranty, our laminate has a textured finish and the authentic look of natural wood. In Marrilee’s home, it adds dimension and gives the illusion of more space. It even perfectly pairs with the wall color because of its cool undertones. “Very happy with the results,” Marrilee wrote.

We love what you’ve done with the place, Marrilee; awesome job!

Thanks to everyone who shared his or her success story with us last week; we always enjoy seeing the transformations in each home. Be sure to check out our Before & After gallery for more inspiration!
