Customer Transformations: October 5–9

Happy Monday, readers! As we do each week, we’ve chosen a few of our favorite posts from our Before & After site that really exemplify how a new floor can transform your home. With so many great submissions this week, it was difficult to only pick five; head over to our site to check out the rest!

Denny Buss – Cape Canaveral, FL

Not only did Denny give his walls a fresh coat of paint and upgrade his furniture, but he also installed our Weather Beaten Country Oak in his living room. What a transformation! The laminate’s gray tones complement his new dark décor and intricate rug, tying the whole space together. “We are just thrilled with the new look of our room,” he wrote. “The people at Lumber Liquidators and their installers were so helpful, very accommodating, got the work done quickly. Overall, it was an extremely pleasant experience.” We’re glad you enjoyed the installation process, Denny! It turned out beautifully.

Louann Galanty – Charlotte, NC

In Louann’s own words, her den had “nasty dark green carpet.” But not for long! She decided to replace it with our Dunes Bay Driftwood Laminate, and now her den looks fantastic. The whitewashed, light gray laminate has the textured look and feel of real hardwood, with the added benefit of being scratch, stain, and moisture resistant. With our Dunes Bay Driftwood, the space now has sophisticated style. “Flooring went down easily, looks fantastic,” she wrote. “I get nothing but compliments.” Fantastic job, Louann!

Mike Lee – Okemos, MI

Mike decided to replace the tile in his kitchen with our Antique Hazel Click Strand Bamboo, but he didn’t stop there: He went on to replace the old laminate flooring on the entire first floor of his home as well! This ambitious project certainly paid off. The bamboo in his kitchen provides excellent contrast against his white cabinets for an eye-catching effect. And in choosing a strand bamboo, he chose a bamboo that’s engineered to be even harder and more dense than traditional bamboo floors, guaranteeing lasted durability. Wonderful choice, Mike!

Seqorey Williams – Chicago, IL

Seqorey’s house is 100 years old and had carpeting covering the original wood floors. But in pulling the carpet back, he realized he had his work cut out for him: “The original floors had been ruined!!!” he wrote. “Some had to be cut out and replaced with wood that didn’t match.” Because of the cost to refinish the wood, he decided to go with a laminate – specifically, our Madison River Elm. The laminate complements the beige walls and mahogany baseboards while retaining an air of elegance. “Could not be happier!!!” he wrote. Great job, Seqorey; enjoy your new floor!

Lorie Zimmerman – Kutztown, PA

Talk about a transformation: Lorie’s new kitchen looks almost unrecognizable from its previous picture! Along with new cabinets and countertops, she replaced the old tile with our Flint Creek Oak, and she couldn’t have made a better choice. While the dark, rich laminate has the look and feel of authentic wood, it also comes with a moisture-resistant core, making it the perfect choice for a kitchen. The contrast it provides against the white cabinets is striking, immediately producing a feeling of modern, sleek style. “Product was an easy install and looks wonderful!” she wrote. Amazing job, Lorie; we’re impressed!
