Happy Monday, readers; we hope you enjoyed your weekend! As always, this week we’ve picked five of our favorite remodeling projects from our Before & After site that exemplify how a new floor can transform any room. Read on to see this week’s picks!
Brian Sullivan – Mesa, AZ
Brian’s carpeted bedroom was in need of an upgrade, and our Flint Creek Oak got the job done! The old off-white carpet and ordinary beige walls didn’t do anything extraordinary for the space, but the oak’s cool gray tones along with the fresh coat of gray paint give the room a sleek, modern finish. And the installation was a breeze: “Very easy to install with the right saws and tools,” he wrote. Congratulations on your new floor, Brian! We’re impressed.
Gail Pinson – Lubbock, TX
Gail’s living room has a masterpiece of a fireplace, but the carpet just wasn’t highlighting this focal point. She also has two dogs and “didn’t want the carpet to have to be cleaned,” which is completely understandable. Her solution? Instead of going with tile, she chose our Tobacco Road Acacia, a hardwood with a rustic distressing and charming color variation. The floor turned out to be a perfect choice, as it really brings warmth and harmony to the space. “We absolutely love it!” she wrote. Great job, Gail; we love it too!
Trina Rector – Great Bend, KS
Looks like we have another customer opting for our Tobacco Road Acacia! Trina completely remodeled her kitchen, dining area, entry area, and hallway, replacing the ceramic tile with this beautiful hardwood. Both her kitchen and dining area look stunning. “We love the shaved wood and get lots of compliments on the floors,” she wrote. “We have two active West Highland white terriers and the flooring does well under their activities during the day.” Fantastic job, Trina; we’re sure the terriers love it!
Thiayaga Arum – Farmington Hills, MI
Thiayaga’s carpet is no more: She decided to install our Select Red Cumaru throughout her entire house, including her living room, dining room, family room, master bedroom, and her child’s room. This adds up to “1,200 square feet of Red Cumaru,” which is quite an undertaking! But the results were definitely worth it: The wood’s subtle red tones complement the tan and yellow walls nicely, tying the whole space together. “The floor is awesome,” she wrote. “Rock-solid. Beautiful color and texture.” Wonderful job, Thiayaga! We’re glad you love your new floor.
Anne Kolden – Maple Grove, MN
Anne decided her “’90s kitchen” needed an upgrade. The tan cabinets, silver countertops, and vinyl tile all disappeared – replaced not only with dark cabinets, complementing countertops, and a splash of accenting tile on the wall but also with our Natural Click Strand Bamboo, which brings every brown together for a natural, warm feel. “The light bamboo offsets our darker cherry-stained cabinets,” she wrote. We completely agree! Great job, Anne.
