The peel and stick assembly makes it easy to lay this underlayment. It is tough to cut with dull cutting tools.

This was my first floor install. The padding was very easy to roll out. I had to staple the edges to keep it down. I will use the same pad the next floor I install.

As with most things, the more expensive the higher the quality and quality assurance that the product is worth the money. Spend the money on the better padding for under the hardwood floor. Better padding will make installation much easier, add years of service to your floor and reduce noise for many years. Spend the money on the better padding now, you will be thankful for many years to come.

I am putting Bellawood engineered oak in a dry basement, as a floating floor. I have purchased Bellawood Platinum Underlayment, which has a built in moisture barrier. But the silver moisture barrier is on the top side, not on the side that faces the concrete. Am I also supposed to put a 6 mil poly moisture barrier underneath this Platinum Underlayment product? If not, I would think that the paper side of the Platinum underlayment would wick moisture up from the concrete.

Does this underlayment get glued down and then the flooring gets glued to it? If so, does the smooth side go down? Also, how necessary is the glue and can the underlayment float as well as the flooring? The glue shipped to me is both Exmore Pro and Exmore Max.

Engineered to be odorless, non-allergenic and with no VOCs, VersaWalk is composed of at least 94% post-industrial/pre-consumer textile fibers, scrap material otherwise destined for landfill.

                                  Hello,
Can We staple down Bellawood Premium Underlayment to the subfloor so that it doesn't move around while moving boards around and walking around on it - or is better to just use the tacky seal that comes on it so that we don't puncture the barrier?
                                  Thank You...

Either way would work but I recommend following the instructions.
