Lumber Liquidators- I love the Brazilian cherry floors! I used the 5/16 x 2 1/4 Select Brazilian Cherry. I was skeptical about using the 5/16 at first, but the wood is so hard that you have to use a glue down installation! The floor came out great and I love the variation. I cant wait to use this floor on my next remodel. I remodel "flip" houses and this home sold to the first person that walked in- the floors really made a WOW! Thank You! Margaret S Stafford, VA |

Comments about BELLAWOOD 5/16" x 2-1/4" Select Brazilian Cherry:
This has transformed our house. I am 100% satisfied with this flooring. We covered about 700 sq feet using elastilon beneath. It went SO well. There were very few warped boards (usually the darker toned ones). I don't think we had even 5% that was unusable.
I liked that the boards were lighter in weight than the thicker boards boards available. And, they clicked into each other very well.
The color is not too dark, and not too light. It's a really HARD wood. And I think it's a VERY fair price.
Also, we have a 100 pound dog and he hasn't come close to scratching it. Love. It.

We put this floor in our bedroom at our lake place about 1 year ago. It is scratched already. We were very happy with the floor until it scratched. Went down nicely.

The product is gorgeous!!! However, the wood is extremely hard and the installer had difficulty nailing it in. The job took four days longer than expected because they had to have a special nail gun, and it already busy on another job.

I had this flooring professionally installed today and I must say I'm glad I did. If you don't have patience get it installed professionally. The wood is absolutely beautiful and it blends nicely with my furniture. It does attract dirt from your shoes easily though. I suggest you buy the felt sliders to place under the legs of your furniture. For what I paid for the wood I refuse to get it scratched unnecessarily.
Service and delivery comments:
Check your order very carefully before you leave the store. I used the installers from Lumber Liquidators and they were good.

We have it in our office and living room. We have a ton of scratches on it from our 2 medium sized dogs and the office chair scratched it in front of our desk. The floor in front of the bath room has a spot on it where the clear coat is coming up and there are a couple other spots where the clear coat is coming off from light mopping.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 5/16" x 2-1/4" Select Brazilian Cherry:
Floors look amazing, but this wood is just too thin. Spend the extra money and get thicker wood. Thicker flooring makes it easier to install and is less prone to crack and warp. I can walk around my house and find cracks that weren't there when the wood was installed. Because it's so thin it's prone to more movement, thus it cracks much easier than thicker wood. We've had some warping when the humidity levels are very high during the summer, but nothing major. I did have to face nail a few boards that started to warp and pop up a bit. The thin wood also makes it very difficult to install. This wood does not slide together easily and needed to be "assembled" piece by piece and tapped in with a hammer before nailing down. Overall I would recommend going with a thicker wood. I would recommend this particular wood, just in a thicker variety.

I like this product very much my wife loves it. My only complaint is the 5/16ths will not work with my nailer so I had to drill and hand nail very time consuming but well worth it. I have replaced two rooms of carpet and have seven more rooms to go.

Q:
In many of the reviews, the buyers said it scratches easily. What does the Certified 100 Year Transferable Warranty cover. Does it cover scratches?1 answer
A:
Scratches and dents are not covered because individual use can vary. Also, most manufacturers do not guard against wear conditions driven by consumer use of a product, including flooring products. Scratches and dents are beyond a manufacturer's ability to control.Q:
