We had gone to several stores looking at hardwood flooring but no one except Lumber Liquidators sold Tobacco Road Acacia. which we fell in love with. We especially liked Lumber Liquidators showroom display as you actually have different hardwood floors installed in your showroom so we were able to get a very good idea how the floor would look in our home. All the other stores have just a small piece of the floor on a wall. We purchased TOBACCO ROAD ACACIA hardwood flooring for our master bedroom. We previously had berber carpeting and with a dog, it was very difficult to keep the carpet clean. We installed the hardwood flooring ourselves in one day and are thrilled with the results. We came back and ordered the floor vents and our bedroom is gorgeous and much healthier without that carpet. Attached is a before and after picture. We would highly recommend Lumber Liquidators to anyone. You had the best selection and the best prices! Paula & Tom B |

I installed this flooring in two bedrooms to replace carpeting. Flooring is very well made, precisely machined and finished. It comes I very standard boxes that are easy to move. The pieces fit together perfectly. I encountered no issues...zero rejects.
Service and delivery comments:
The purchase was easy. The representative was very helpful. I also returned two left over boxes for quick refund without issue.

Comments about Casa de Colour 3/4" x 3-5/8" Tobacco Road Acacia:
Flooring is beautiful. Get lots of good comments from friends! Wish the planks were longer. Holding up pretty well with a large dog. The "Professional" installer hired through L.L. was terrible. Gaps along the wall, didn't clean up or haul any of his trash . . .
Very disappointed. Ended up doing some of it myself anyway.

Comments about Casa de Colour 3/4" x 3-5/8" Tobacco Road Acacia:
PROS: Flooring has nice mix of colors and grains
CONS: The lengths were advertised as mostly 3' 4' and 5' lengths with a few 1' and 6' pieces in each box. In actuality; mostly 2' with a few 1' and 3' pieces. Zero 4', 5', or 6' pieces in 36 boxes. Installer wasn't happy with having all short pieces to install. Especially if you have a long run.

Comments about Casa de Colour 3/4" x 3-5/8" Tobacco Road Acacia:
I have gaps between boards. But even no gaps makes spills a burden. It does not stay on top of the joints. I wouldn't put this in a kitchen, dining or bath.

Comments about Casa de Colour 3/4" x 3-5/8" Tobacco Road Acacia:
I had meant to write a review after we initially installed this flooring but it may have more impact now 1.5 years after the installation. The floor looks great across our entire first floor and has held up quite well with 2 children under 5 and a large dog. The floors will get scratches and you will notice them when you are looking at them from within 3 feet of the floor. However, you don't notice any scratches while standing and walking through the space. We mop the floor every two weeks with Murphy's Oil Soap and it has kept the flooring in good shape.
Service and delivery comments:
Delivery was very good but the install was a challenge because the wood is relatively high on the Janka scale. We repeatedly had to have back blades for the saws ready.

Can you tell me in detail about the finish of this product? I have read a previous response that states that there are 7 layers of finish. I am most interested in the aluminum component of the finish, and whether it is underneath the polyurethane coating, or if it is mixed throughout the polyurethane. I have small children that are chemically sensitive, and I need to know that the aluminum is not going to absorb through their skin. I am ok with polyurethane.1 answer

Based on the manufacturing specifications: this product contains aluminum oxide in underlying layers only. The top coat does not contain any aluminum oxide. Aluminum oxide is chemically bound in the cured finish.Q:
