Through a flooring donation to the Highsteppers Drill/Dance Team of Cincinnati, OH, Lumber Liquidators has helped provide a safe area for the team members to grow as dancers and as people.
From confidence and maturity, to problem solving and communication, the Highsteppers studio works to instill life skills in girls in the area through dance. The team was founded in July 1999, but it took 14 years to have a studio to call their own.
“We all have regular jobs and we work here for free and we teach, and if we don’t have donations then we won’t be able to exist.” – Kelli Harmon-Dobson, Founder & Director of Highsteppers Dance Studio
Lumber Liquidators donated flooring to the organization in August 2013 to help create a safe and beautiful environment for the dancers. Kelli said, “We see these young ladies grow so much, and to witness it here in our own dance studio makes it even more special.”
The studio uses the Dura Dance Home System. It can be installed underneath quick-click flooring and absorbs energy exceptionally well while providing an even and consistent dampening effect. It is great for all types of dance and aerobic exercise, including Zumba, Tap, Hip-Hop and Stress Running. It’s also great for dance practice spaces, workplace gyms and ballet flooring.
