Lumber Liquidators has donated $15,000 to Junior Achievement of Central Virginia to sponsor the home improvement storefront in Capital One/JA Finance Park in Richmond. The JA Finance Park program offers 8th through 12th grade students personal financial management and career exploration through classroom instruction and active participation in a simulated community.
It enables students to build foundations for making intelligent, life-long, personal financial decisions. It also assists students in developing a realistic understanding of the economic issues they must deal with upon graduation from high school. Lumber Liquidators also provides volunteers to teach the JA Finance Park program and donated flooring for the construction of the facility.
“We are incredibly thankful for the generous support of Lumber Liquidators. Their support of JA Finance Park and our on-going programs is empowering over 22,000 students in our area to own their economic success.” – Daphne Walker, Junior Achievement of Central Virginia President.
Lumber Liquidators’ support of JA is consistent with their philosophy that a Lumber Liquidators floor is made to last and will benefit many generations to come. Making an investment in the long-term value of a student’s education, economic and youth development will produce a well-prepared workforce that will contribute to the health and vitality of our community.
