The Sequoia Hospital Foundation aims to develop and secure funding for the benefit of Sequoia Hospital located in Redwood City, CA. In 1990, the group purchase the Guest House home next to the hospital to be offered to families of patients living outside of the area. This allows families who cannot afford the cost of hotels to be near loved ones in the hospital. At the time, the home was a single-family dwelling with two bedrooms and one bathroom. Today, the Guest House has eight bedrooms and serves as a home-away-from-home for patients and their families who live more than 50 miles from Sequoia Hospital. The Guest House is complimentary to those in need.
The Guest House was built in 1936, and no renovations had been completed since its purchase in 1990. With over 26 years of wear and tear, Lumber Liquidators provided over 2,000 square feet of laminate flooring to assist in a makeover of the home.
