Skater’s Edge of West Michigan, located at the Edge Ice Arena in Holland, Michigan, is a non-profit organization that provides opportunities for skaters of all ages and skill levels to achieve their individual goals by encouraging sportsmanship, support of one another, mutual respect, technical excellence and the joy of the sport.

The organization’s off-ice training facility at the Edge Ice Arena—where strength training, ballet, Pilates, and other off-ice training classes are held—was in desperate need of new flooring. Scott Chiamulera and Jenifer Van Zanten sought out help from Lumber Liquidators to replace their old, worn out carpet flooring.

“This flooring donation as part of the Lay It Forward program has a huge impact on our community as a whole. Lumber Liquidators was eager to come on board with us, and it really worked out beautifully.”
– Jenifer Van Zanten, Skater’s Edge of West Michigan

Lumber Liquidators helped the organization by donating Horizontal Natural Bamboo Laminate flooring, which has a durable surface and thick underlayment padding, giving the young athletes a safe, clean training surface that is still soft and giving underfoot. With a 30-year warranty and long-lasting durability, the new floor will help Skater’s Edge of West Michigan provide training and opportunities for young skaters for many years to come.
