In the summer of 2017 Lumber Liquidators partnered with United Veterans of Maine. This non-profit organization is operated by veteran volunteers and aimed at providing homeless veterans with the housing, treatment, and tools they need to become self-sufficient.
“On behalf of our volunteers and all the veterans we serve, we would like to thank Lumber Liquidators for generously providing the laminate flooring for our new cottages,” said Mrs Karen St. Peter, Fundraising Director of United Veterans of Maine. “These cottages will provide safe and stable housing for veterans working to make the transition to self reliance. Our mission is to ensure that no veteran goes without shelter, and the generosity of businesses like Lumber Liquidators makes our work possible.”
Lumber Liquidators provided 2,300 square feet of laminate flooring to United Veterans of Maine for new cottages to be used as transition housing for veterans in need.
Lumber Liquidators’ support of United Veterans of Maine was administered through its philanthropic program, Lay It Forward, which supports organizations that benefit generations to come.
