  • Q:

    Hi there,
I have few questions on the installation of the laminated baseboard (example - your SKU# 10004635). Your site doesn't specify it, but I assume the material of the baseboard is the same HDF as the floor panels.
    1. Are laminated baseboards fastened to the wall with a brad or finishing gun? If so, is there a matching putty to fill the nail holes (in my case, it will be African Mahogany)?
    2. What is the recommended method of joining the edges of the laminated baseboards on the long walls? Is that the same angled crosscut like with wooden baseboards? If so, how to mask the imperfections of the joint? - obviously, it can't be sanded.

    Thank you!

      A:

      1) You can try a finish gun first but may cause blow out, pre-drill & finish nail works best.
you can find matching putty & fill sticks at your local paint or hardware center (bring a sample.
      2) I would do a 45 cut (try to have joints on wall studs).
      3) The only way to fix boo boos is with putty.
