  • Q:

Is it ok to mop this floor like I do any other vinyl floor in my home?
    Asked on 2/6/2014 by Mark

    • Staff Reviewer

      A:

We can only recommend our Bellawood Floor Cleaner, or cleaners that are safe for water based urethane finishes. Never use any polish, wax, oil soaps or cleaners that add shine to the floor.
The use of these products is at your own risk.
      General Cleaning:
One. Lightly sweep or vacuum your hard surface floor.
Two. Spray Bellawood floor cleaner onto a terry cloth mop cover and wipe the floor surface.
Do not use this product on wax finished floors. Do not spray cleaning product directly on floor.
      Thank you for your inquiry.

  • Q:

Are there limitations to the type of sub-flooring that can be used with this product? I have a press-board flooring instead of plywood and some vendors have told me I shouldn't put vinyl on top of press-board.

This is a floating floor so you can install this over particle board deflection. We do not recommend install Vinyl peel and stick over particle boards because it can affect the bond. I will send you the installation instructions directly to your email. thank you for your inquiry

  • Q:

Our home has a 2d floor covered porch off the back of the house - sometimes referred to as a "loggia". It is not climate controlled. It receives late afternoon sun but only on a small portion of the perimeter of the space due to the roofline and waist-high wall. The same goes for rain - it remains mostly dry, except for the edge of the space when there's wind and rain.

Do you recommend any of your vinyl flooring products for this space? The current floor is traditional, pressure-treated 1x6 decking. We desire to replace the decking with a nicer-looking, durable product.
