Comments about 2" x 12" Brazilian Cherry Grill Flush w/Frame:
I have an old farm house. We ripped up the old carpet, laid under-flooring and even added the underlayment, bought at Lumber Liquidators. We bought the narrow boards. In our two story farm house we laid them in the upstairs bedrooms. Because of the small rooms the narrow boards make the rooms look bigger. The underlayment was also a benefit because the rooms are 90% quieter and not as cold. (We also live in a cold climate) [...]

Q:how long are the boards?
A:This is a random length wood product that comes 1’ to 7’ in length, the average length is about 3.25'. Thank you for your inquiry.
Q:Can I use mineral spirits to clean up glue on finished floor?
A:Yes you can.
Q:My ceilings have radiant heat. I live in a condominium, so the floor below me has "ceiling heat". Is there a problem installing Brazilian Cherry on my floor? What is it?
A:Our installation instructions address in floor radiant heat, but have not been tested over a unit with ceiling heat.
Q:What is the size of the shipping carton. How long is a box?
A:Each box measures; 88" long x 11" wide x 3" high.
Q:can I download a photo of my room to see how the wood floor would look?
A:Unfortunately we do have the capability to use your photo but we do have our Room Designer on the LL website to help you visualize our flooring in several room settings.
Q:I bought this product about a year and a half ago and have since ran out. Has the edge of the product changed in that time?
A:As far as I know the product has not changed but it would be a good idea to get hold of a new sample to compare.
Q:what is a typical weight per box ?
A:Each box weighs 64.46 lbs.
Q:I realize that solid Brazilian Cherry flooring is generally not recommended for use over radiant flooring, but what about this engineered product? This would be applied over Warmboard substrate http://www.warmboard.com/ which typically yields even temperature distribution. Additionally the radiant system in question is regulated to a maximum water temperature of 130 F.
A:Unfortunately we do not recommend this BELLAWOOD Engineered 1/2" x 5" Brazilian Cherry Engineered flooring over radiant heat.
Q:I am interested in the Bellawood Brazilian Cherry Engineered and have 3 dogs. How does this floowing stand up to dogs?
A:The good: excellent finish (our best) and dent resistant because of it's hardness. The bad: dark floors show scratching more than light. Regardless of the floor you choose, keeping nails trimmed is a good idea. Another idea is to cover nails with "vinyl claws covers".
Q:We need another 200 sq. ft of this type, also 1/2" x 5", but what we currently have in an unfinished room is the DISCONTINUED Thomasville Jatoba Engineered (Brazilian Cherry) from a large/popular big box Home hardware retailer. Can you tell me if this would be a 'close enough' match? thank you!!
A:I would recommend taking a sample of the product to the local store to see if it is a match.
