To calculate lineal feet of trim, (e.g. base, quarter round) simply measure each wall in the room and add up the lineal feet. For ease of installation use whole pieces where ever possible. Allow extra for cutting each corner and splicing pieces together.

To determine the square footage of a square or rectangular room, measure the length and width of the room in feet or inches and enter the values in Area 1 of the calculator below.  For irregularly shaped areas or multiple rooms, it is helpful to draw a diagram and divide the room up into sections. Treat each section as a separate area, as in this illustration. Input the measurements of each area below to see the total SQFT needed.

About Engineered Flooring:
Engineered flooring consists of REAL hardwood layers with either a plywood, medium-density fiberboard (MDF) or lumber core. It's extremely stable, which means it's the perfect floor for any level of the home!

With plywood engineered products, hardwood veneer layers are stacked on one another, with the grain of the adjacent layers oriented perpendicular to each other. Because wood expands and contracts in the direction of the grain, one layer stabilizes the next, resulting in a product that is less susceptible to the effects of moisture and temperature change.

What is Cabin Grade?
Cabin grade flooring has more color, length, and/or manufacturing variations than a select, natural, or mill run product typically exhibits, adding rustic charm to its natural character. Each cabin grade plank varies in appearance, so careful selection is essential to completing your project. Boards with extreme variation can still be used-we recommend installing them in less noticeable areas, like inside closets or under furniture or appliances. When ordering a cabin grade floor, you should add 15-25% more, as you may need to remove undesirable planks. Cabin grade flooring offers a unique opportunity to get a beautiful hardwood floor at a fraction of the cost.
