before it was even finished being installed we had to replace boards because the fridge being moved scratched the floor up :(

Q:Can the Schon Engineered Wood flooring 3/8" x 3" be refinished? If not, what about same product in a thicker 1/2" x 5"?
A:Yes. However because engineered flooring is a ply construction with a thin wear layer, a screening rather than full sanding should be considered.

Q:I am looking to replace carpet on a second story floor. The builder says we cannot put down "hardwood" floors only laminate because of the depth available from the subfloor that is now below the carpet. Is an engineered wood floor something that could work instead?
