We installed Koka Oak flooring made by Casa de Colour. The product has a very smooth surface to it, more like a birch or maple than an open-pored oak. One of the reasons we chose this flooring was because we could buy mathcing trim pieces, and it's important to me that everything match.
The stairnose trim (and reducer, which we also bought) is made by Bellawood, NOT Casa de Colour, and it does not match the floor. The color is very good, but the texture is completely different -- it's very rough, all the oak texture and open pores clearly visible. So, butted up against the perfect, shiny, smooth floor it stands out like an eyesore.
I'll be returning the stairnose as I find it unacceptable and we made an alternate solution work. Unfortunately, we have to keep the reducer which spoils the look but had no other choice.
On the positive side, the product appears to be made well and was delivered quickly.
