This stuff is very dense, silent, lays flat, and lines up fairly well if you have a butt joint. I have used several types, and this is the best I have tried.

this product is no longer recommended to use with the flooring I was using. But since I had already installed 2 rooms with it I didn't have any choice as the newly recommended underlayment isn't as thick. I have had no issues with the joints.

          Depends?
Is there wood or concrete under the tile
I would defer to the laminate installation instructions and follow them.

          Unfortunately not!
TRANQUILITY may be installed with or without an underlayment. For extra sound proofing and insulation use the TRANQUILITY LVT underlayment.

      • Q:

I am putting Bellawood engineered oak in a dry basement, as a floating floor. I have purchased Bellawood Platinum Underlayment, which has a built in moisture barrier. But the silver moisture barrier is on the top side, not on the side that faces the concrete. Am I also supposed to put a 6 mil poly moisture barrier underneath this Platinum Underlayment product? If not, I would think that the paper side of the Platinum underlayment would wick moisture up from the concrete.

      • Q:

I am installing 80 sq ft of 5/8 x 3 3/4" solid bamboo flooring on the 9th floor of a condo building. Does this underlayment get glued down and then the flooring gets glued to it? If so, does the smooth side go down? Also, how necessary is the glue and can the underlayment float as well as the flooring? The glue shipped to me is both Exmore Pro and Exmore Max.
