Handscraped appearance and texture... Just like Hardwood flooring!

Kensington Manor by Dream Home - 12mm Warm Springs Chestnut Laminate Flooring - 30 Year Warranty

Kensington Manor is a premium 12mm + 3mm pre-glued underlayment laminate product line. What is unique is that most of the line has a handscraped finish appearance. This is not simply in the look, but also in the actual texture!
The combination of these 2 characteristics gives them a beautiful rustic feel!
Also, the V-groove and pre-glued 3mm underlayment will make your installation process quick and easy.

Quick Installation Tips:
- Store flooring flat for 48 hours in its original packaging at room temperature.
- Must be installed over a clean, stable, flat, smooth, and dry surface.
- Moisture barrier is required for installations over concrete.
- Make sure the panels are mixed sufficiently when you install them so that you do not end up with too many identical, light or dark panels next to each other.

These quality underlayments offer best joint/seam support while ensuring superior thermal sound reduction qualities, these properties are highly recommended for use with condominium associations, project planners and building specifiers.

Kensington Manor Flooring Advantages:
- No glue and no nails needed
- Easy Click Installation
- Moisture resistant board
- Thickness: 12mm + 3mm (1/8") pre-glued underlayment

This product looks absolutely awesome!!! Installation took a couple of weekends as this was my first time doing it and I had over 500sq ft. to do. The reason I give this floor 3 stars is because during installation the planks chipped easily. Also the instructions that came with the flooring were terrible, no mention on when and how to use the tapping block or pull bar. I've had the floor installed for about 3 months no majors chips although I've encountered some scratches.

Exceeded Expectations

We put this floor in our living room, hallway, foyer and one bedroom. My husband, father and brother completed this in about a day and a half. They were impressed with the ease of installation and the pieces all clicked together fairly easy.

I am blown away with how good this floor looks. It definitely looks like a much more expensive floor. We have three small children and pets, so we were a little apprehensive about spending a lot of money on flooring for fear that it would be destroyed in short time, but we also didn't want to get something "cheap" that wouldn't hold up. This was the best choice we could have made.

The texture and color hide dirt well and the tone is very warm. It has transformed the look of our house. My brother recently installed a floor in his home that cost about 3x as much and he couldn't believe how great this floor looked.

        Great floor that looks awesome

        • Bedrooms

Very good product that was fairly easy to install. I would not recommend that install kit that was recommended with the flooring. The tapping block seemed to damage the floor a lot more. I switched to a tool from another local floor store that worked amazing and sped up the install significantly.

I used the Warm Springs Chestnut 12mm for a remodel and it was great! I laid 800sqft in roughly 8 hrs. It's so easy to install and seems very durable. I have 2 dogs and they don't scratch it at all. Laminate is the way to go for durability and cost effectiveness!

1st time using Lumber Liquidator Products. Was very impressed w/ quality. Rep at store said this is one of the most popular choices out there & I see why. For use with a house intending to sell. We actually got an offer right after we installed most of it, and sold it before we even officially put it on the market! Am now using it for my next, higher end project where it will also be included in the new kitchen!

We purchased this floor to be used in our living room, dining room, kitchen and hallway, approximately 950 sq ft. It is a nice product and made a huge transformation in how our home looks. The downside to this product is that it is time consuming to install. My husband is not a pro DIY, but is capable of home projects and it took us much longer to install than we ever imagined. We did find that the edges and corners chipped easier than we anticipated. The finished product is beautiful and something we will enjoy for many years.

This floor is very durable but we have chipped it, a stain pen and some satin clear nail polish is all that is needed to repair it. I will add the floor chipping has so far been completely our fault.

The floor was so simple to install, a housewife installed by herself. Even though it is a laminate the boards are very strong and durable. Has a great texture to it, it looks like real wood.

Does the attached padding/underlay have a moisture barrier quality to it? Or do I need to purchase a separate moisture barrier if laying on concrete floors? If so, what moisture barrier would you recommend?

Due to the excessive moisture present in a full bath we cannot recommend any of our solid natural flooring or laminate products for this application, I would suggest one of our engineered or vinyl Tranquility products. We have a 2mm peel and stick and now a 4 and 5mm click together products that can go in full bath areas or where moisture is a concern. Thank you for your inquiry.

We have had problems with termites, they've eaten through some of our old hardwood floors. Will termites eat this product or any laminate for that matter, since its not really wood?

Laminates are not termite proof but is not as desirable a food source as a wood floor.
I would suggest a pest control company to access your home before installing any new floors.

Wax filler sticks, stain markers and color-putty are now available at your local Lumber Liquidators and at most home centers that are used for minor hardwood repairs. This process is used to fill-in face-nails, nicks and gouges. Select the appropriate stick color to match the damaged area. Often several colors are used to blend colors for exotic species, bring a scrap piece of the flooring to match it up. Thank you for your inquiry.

If you have the proper clearances recommend by the stove manufacturer you should be okay. Recommendation; protective hearth pad used to ensure no overheating of floor coverings.

I have three dogs. Is this a good choice for us? Is handscraped laminate a better choice since I have dogs?

Any Laminate flooring is very durable with dogs. However accidents should be cleaned quickly and general precautions such as keeping nails trimmed properly according to your veterinarian.

Only if your old hardwood flooring is not flat. If cupped and un-level, remove and replace with plywood or cover with ⅜" plywood. Subfloor for laminate flooring need to be flat and level with no more deflection than 3/16" in 10' or ⅛ " in a 6' radius.

I purchased the 12mm sandy hills hickory laminate that comes with an attached pad. I was told I should still put down another "eco Silent sound pad"

Is the extra pad unnecessary? Will this make the flooring too squishy?

                              No it is not "necessary".
IF YOU CHOOSE TO USE ADDITIONAL PADDING:
Laminates having pre-attached padding can also be installed over an underlayment. When doing so, Lumber Liquidators recommends the use of Bellawood Platinum, Bellawood Premium, Quiet Walk or the Eco Silent Sound underlayment. These quality underlayments offer best joint/seam support while ensuring superior thermal sound reduction qualities, these properties are highly recommended for use with condominium associations, project planners and building specifiers.
