      A:

A U-Track generally fastens to wood subfloor with wood screws, for a concrete sub-floor use "Tapcon" or other concrete screws and/or appropriate adhesive. Masonry bit required. This can also be fastened with screws and a rawel plug (concrete wall plug).
Molding then pushes and attaches to the U-Track much like a zip-lock bag goes together.
