Full Returns and Shipping Policy

What is your full returns & shipping policy?

Lumber Liquidators is committed to your satisfaction!

Measurement and Quantity:

Flooring is sold by the box/bundle. The actual square footage may differ when rounded to the nearest box/bundle size. The purchaser/installer is responsible for all measurement quantities. The purchaser will be charged for the actual footage shipped. Lumber Liquidators accepts no responsibility or liability for measurement errors.

Delivery and Lead Times:

All delivery dates are estimates. Lumber Liquidators cannot guarantee specific deadlines and recommends that the purchaser not schedule installation until the product is received by the purchaser.



Claims for shortages or damages must be made upon receipt. The purchaser/installer is responsible for final inspection as to grade, color, finish, defects and other product quality issues. Do not install defective product. Use constitutes acceptance.


Allow flooring to acclimate in the installation area for at least 3-7 days. Prior to installation, the purchaser/installer is solely responsible for determining the acceptability of the moisture levels in both the product and the subfloor. Lumber Liquidators recommends using a licensed, professional wood flooring installer. Installation must be performed in accordance with National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) guidelines. Lumber Liquidators is not responsible or liable for damages resulting from errors, misuse or negligence by the installer or purchaser.

Installation Assistance / Additional Questions or Concerns:

General installation instructions may be found at or copies may be requested by calling Lumber Liquidators' Customer Care Department at (800) 366-4204. For additional questions, comments or concerns regarding your purchase, call Lumber Liquidators' Customer Care Department. Although Lumber Liquidators' associates may make recommendations regarding products, the purchaser/installer is ultimately responsible for ensuring that the products are appropriate for and compatible with jobsite conditions.


Returns and exchanges are subject to approval and must be made within 90 days of product receipt. Returns or exchanges are not permitted on (a) opened boxes or special orders unless product is defective, (b) close-outs, odd lots, final sales, special deals, or clearance items for any reason, or (c) tools without original receipt. Product must be in original condition and have been properly stored. Installed product is considered accepted by Buyer and may not be exchanged or returned for any reason. Shipping and delivery charges are non-refundable. Shipping costs relating to a return or exchange are the sole responsibility of Buyer.

Payment and Refunds:

Lumber Liquidators accepts cash, checks, debit cards and credit cards. A $30 fee may be assessed for returned checks. For returns, purchases made by cash or check will be refunded by check within 5-10 business days and purchases by credit or debit card will be credited back to the credit or debit card used for the purchase. Down payment or deposits are due and payable at the time of order.

Warranty: Only for products sold with a manufacturer's warranty. ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, ARE DISCLAIMED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT THAT ANY SUCH WARRANTIES CANNOT BE VALIDLY DISCLAIMED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW. Lumber Liquidators may, in its discretion, fully and completely resolve any claim based upon a manufacturer's defect by providing the purchaser with replacement product. Except to the extent specifically prohibited by law, Lumber Liquidators shall not be responsible or liable for, and purchaser waives any claim for, any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from or relating to Lumber Liquidators' sale of any products. Under no circumstances shall any liability of Lumber Liquidators arising out of or relating to the transaction set forth in this invoice exceed the total cost of the products included in this invoice and paid for by the purchaser.
