RE: MVP 4 ® Moisture Limit

To Whom It May Concern:

MVP 4 Moisture Vapor Protection is a one-part, trowel applied, elastomeric, moisture cure urethane membrane designed to be used beneath glue-down installations of engineered, solid hardwood and bamboo flooring with Bostik's Best®, BST TM , EFA+ TM , TKO®, or DuraGrip adhesives. MVP 4 is designed to reduce moisture vapor transmission from the subfloor.

No upper moisture vapor limit is provided in the Technical Data Sheet because there is no functional upper limit. However, it is critical that the concrete be dry to the touch to properly bond.

Relative humidity, temperature, and barometric pressure are environmental factors that determine the effective moisture vapor limit of any installation. For instance, a moisture vapor reading of 20 lbs/1000 ft2/24 hrs may be dry to the touch in an environment with low humidity, but the concrete may be wet to the touch in environments with high humidity. Regardless of the moisture vapor reading, if the concrete is dry to the touch during installation and all other installation instructions are followed, MVP 4 will function properly.
