Bellawood open Grain Characteristics
Bellawood Open Grain characteristics
Our Bellawood flooring will add charm and elegance to any room. We take each hand selected board and apply our UV-cured aluminum oxide finish for unequalled scratch resistance. This finishing process provides our customers with one of the most durable finishes in the wood flooring industry today. This finish is designed to enhance the natural beauty of the wood, helps capture the true colors and characteristics of the wood while providing exceptional wear, scratch, and stain protection. One characteristic that is seen is open grains in the flooring planks that occur with select open grain species of wood like Oak, Brazilian Teak, Brazilian Cherry, Brazilian Chestnut, and similar open grain species. The specific growing environment plays a big role in the tightness of the wood grain in the mature tree. For this reason, it is common for the natural wood grain texture within a batch or between batches of wood to sometimes vary widely. This is why some may vary more in open grain appearance than others. It is understood that open-grain is not a defect, but rather a natural characteristic within species.
